HOCKEY REGINA BINGO INFORMATION

for Parents

(QUESTIONS? Call Pam, Bingo Administrator, at 306-949-2577 ext. 222 or

email )

It is the goal of HRI to provide the opportunity for each player’s parents who filled out theBingo box in the Other section of the HRI online Player Registration to participate in at least one bingo per year. A list of family names is alphabetized and divided into the three Bingo halls where we work. The Bingo Coordinators e-mail Bingo workers from the alphabetized list. We will try to ensure that each player receives his/her bingo during the hockey season. Those individuals who are willing to work afternoons or those hard to fill dates such as long weekends, summer, New Year’s Eve, etc., will perhaps work more bingos. Those individuals who can be available to work bingos within 1 to 24 hours’ notice when called will perhaps work more bingos.

If you would like to work bingos and did not complete the Bingo box of the HRI online Player Registration, please contact Pam at 306-949-2577 Ext. 222. If you have not been contacted to work a bingo by December 15, 2016, please call Pam. For a list of Head Coordinators, contact numbers and the bingo hall you are assigned to, please check the HRI website at after December 15, 2016 for updated information.

If you are going to commit to working a bingo, be prepared to stay for the entire duration of the bingo. The minimum age to work a Hockey Regina bingo is 16. If you cannot make your arranged bingo, call the Bingo Coordinator for the hall you are assigned. Do not send a replacement worker without phoning the Bingo Coordinator who contacted you. When a Coordinator books you for a bingo, please copy down her/his name and phone number or email address.

Payment for bingos worked will be in the form of two rates based on hours worked. Bingo vouchers will be $70.00 for 6 hour bingos/$45.00 for 4 hour bingos. The bingo vouchers can be used as part of the registration fee payment at the time of team registration (October/November). Vouchers accumulated during the hockey season can be presented for credit back to your account with the team in December, January, February and prior to the end of the season. The team Manager/Treasurer will collect all the bingo vouchers from their team and hand them in during specific weeks.

The maximum number of vouchers that you can turn in for the season is the team budgeted amount per player. You may have to have all your fees paid before you are able to work any or enough bingos. You will still be able to hand in vouchers until the end of the hockey season. How this will work:
1. If you pay all your fees by December 15 (cash and/or vouchers) and then hand in vouchers before the end of the season you will receive a refund for the excess you gave to the team manager/treasurer.
a. If you pay with cash and vouchers, you will receive a cash refund depending upon the amount of cash given and the amount of the refund, or you may receive a refund of cash and bingo vouchers.
b.If you pay only with vouchers, you will receive a refund in the form of bingo vouchers.
2. The team may allow you to pay as you work the bingos - with cash and/or vouchers at Registration time; and then vouchers at turn-in time in December, January and February; and before the end of the season. You would receive any refund in the form of cash and/or bingo vouchers depending upon the amount of cash given and the amount of the refund.
