AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1448.03 OF THE

CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF OLMSTED

FALLS REGARDING PERMIT FEES.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OLMSTED

FALLS, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, STATE OF OHIO, THAT:

SECTION 1. Section 1448.03 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Olmsted

Falls entitled “PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE” is hereby amended as follows (new material appears like THIS and deleted materials appears like this ):

1448.03 PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE.

Fees for permits to erect, construct, remodel, alter or repair any building, structure or property, or part thereof, shall be charged according to the following schedule:

(a)  Building permits

Base fee

1. Dwelling (1-3 Family)

New Dwelling/Addition $200.00

Dwelling alteration/maintenance $50.00

Accessory building or structure

(e.g. garage, deck, shed, fence, pool, etc.) $25.00

A.  Plus a fee per $1,000 of market value $3.00/$1000 value

B.  Plus a project area fee per 100 square ft.

or similar projects, AND THE FIRST

10,000 SQUARE FT. OF ROOFING,

(c) City Engineer fees - A deposit is required for review of

topographical plans and inspection of final grade as follows:

2.  New commercial buildings (Non 1-3 Family) $1,500/ea

(d)  Sanitary sewer connection fees

1. New dwelling $125.00

2. Existing dwelling $50.00

3. New Commercial (non 1-3 Family) $250.00

4. Existing Commercial building $100.00

(e) Storm sewer connection $500.00

($125.00 to be applied to administrative costs;

$375.00 to be deposited to the Storm Sewer Maintenance

and Repair Fund)

(f)  Plumbing permits

filters, ejectors, sump pumps, garbage

grinders, drinking fountain, grease interceptors, inside

leaders, AAV valves, gas piping outlet, or similar

Note: Revised plans may require submittal of an additional plan review fee

(k) Commercial equipment not specifically covered: The fee for a permit to construct any building or to install any equipment not specifically covered in this section shall be one percent of the estimated cost, plus the applicable base fee, except that no permit shall be issued for less than the base fee of $200.00

SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that all deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in full compliance with all legal requirements, including without limitation, those set forth in Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect at the earliest time allowed by law.
