Dean Marchessault Named President/CEO of
American Eagle Federal Credit Union

(East Hartford, CT) Dean Marchessault has been promoted to President/Chief Executive Officer of American Eagle Federal Credit Union effective January 3, 2015.

As Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Marchessault is currently responsible for the Credit Union’s branch network of community and on-site branches, phone contact center, facilities and security, marketing and public relations, deposit product operations, ATM, debit and credit card services, consumer lending and quality functions.

Mr. Marchessault joined American Eagle Federal Credit Union in June of 2000. He has 35 years of financial services experience, including over 20 years holding management/executive positions of increasing responsibility for a Connecticut savings and loan association, a large Massachusetts regional bank, a large MA-based regional bank with international reach and a Connecticut savings bank.

At American Eagle FCU, Mr. Marchessault was instrumental in the growth and evolution of the retail footprint and branch prototype, sales and service programs, community and philanthropic endeavors and expansion into many new and improved delivery and product areas.

Mr. Marchessault is a member of the East Hartford High School Academy of Finance Advisory Board, a corporator at Klingberg Family Centers in New Britain, CT, a member of the Accounting, Business, and Paralegal Department Business Advisory Board at Manchester Community College, Manchester, CT, and of Credit Union Executives’ Society and is active in many other trade, community and philanthropic enterprises in the area. Mr. Marchessault received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bryant College, Smithfield, Rhode Island. Mr. Marchessault resides in Simsbury, CT.

Mr. Marchessault succeedsWilliam J. Dokas, who will retire on January 2, 2015, after 24 years as President/CEO and 42 years of service to American Eagle Federal Credit Union.
