What standards will be taught next week?
Learning goal:
Students will determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text, including figurative and connotative meanings

Students will Analyze how particular elements of a story or drama interact (e.g., how setting shapes the characters or plot).
Pacing/ Lesson Planning:
a)Is everyone on the team, aligned, and on track with the Instructional Focus Calendar for the Month/Week? If not, please update the calendar and note the plan for catching up (direct instruction, spiraling/warm-ups, Edmodo Snapshot, HRW, Small Group, etc.)? 2 classes have not begun small group. After PAFS testing teachers will utilize small group even if they conduct Teacher led stations twice a week.
b)Have the Lesson Plans for next week been completed? If not, who will draft for next week’s meeting?

Stamina while reading text- students struggle with silent and sustained reading; deliberate instruction if text marking (making it purposeful); still struggling with paraphrasing (students are copying verbatim when citing text)
