Responses to Written Questions
Q1) Page 10 of Exhibit A, requests Former References. What does the County mean when they request Former References compared to Current References?
A1) Current references refer to clients of the Vendor whose projects are active. Former references refer to clients whose projects have been completed by the Contractor.
Q2) Does the County want the bidder to quote a price for one unit per type of job being requested?
A2) Yes, the County would like the bidder to quote a price for one unit per job listed on the bid form.

Q4) What format should Exhibit A and the Bid Form be in when the Vendor submits its bid online?
A4) The County requires the Vendor to submit a completed and executed Exhibit A in PDF format and the Bid Form should be in Excel spreadsheet format.
Q5) Should the bidder include tax in the unit price when submitting the completed Bid Form?
A5) No, the County does not require the bidder to include tax when submitting the unit price per job being requested.
Q6) Page 3 of the RFQ, Section D (BIDDERS QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS) Item 3.a states:

What does the County mean by CRC?
A6) The acronym CRC stands for Camera Ready Copy.
Q7) Page 16 of the RFQ, Section J (PRICING), Item 4 states:
All prices are to be F.O.B. destination. Any freight/delivery charges are to be included.
When the bidder submits its cost per unit should the cost of any freight/delivery charge be included in the unit price?
A7) Yes, all prices are to be F.O.B. destination. Any freight/delivery charges are to be included.
Q8) Does a Vendor need to have a physical address within the County of Alameda in order to be a certified SLEB?
A8) Yes. Please refer to http://acgov.org/auditor/sleb/overview.htm
Q9) Does the County require a bidder to be a certified SLEB in order to bid on RFQ No. 901350?
A9) Yes, It indicates in the RFQ that in the Section D: Bidder Qualifications that Contractor must be Certified by the County as a small, local and emerging business (SLEB) by the submittal of bid due date.
Q10) Does a Vendor meet the requirement of being a Certified Green Business if it is a certified green business in another County other than Alameda County?
A10) A vendor can meet the green business certification by holding a current certification from the Alameda County Green Business Program, or an equivalent green business program as determined by the County.
Q11) Business Cards (Item #355-372) – For Item #355-360, the 1 color – will that be Black or PMS? If PMS for all that is “Color” ink, can we have the option to print these digital, meaning 4CP mix or are we restricted to printing the specified PMS colors?
A11) One color refers to black or any other color and for purposes of the bid form you can quote on digital, meaning 4CP mix.
Q12) Four Color Process Costs – Can 100# Gloss text be substituted for 20# bond?
A12) No, there is a separate line for #100 gloss text.
Q13) NCR – are all sheets in a set the same including back sides?
A13) Yes, all sheets are the same.
Q14) Number of Ink colors for envelopes?
A14) Please assume one color ink.
Q15) Artwork for Envelopes does not bleed correct?
A15) Correct, please assume artwork does not bleed.
Q16) Typesetting under “Additional Digital Services” - what is the definition of “unit” for costing purposes
A16) The definition of “unit” is any typesetting required to complete job.
Q17) Letterhead – Do they bleed?
