ABOUT THE TSSC

The Toronto Sport & Social Club is the largest organization of its kind in North America. The company creates, organizes and manages sports leagues and special events for adults in the GTA and surrounding area. Operating year round, the TSSC is home to over 75,000 annual members.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a unique career opportunity to join a small, entrepreneurial business.

·  Spend approximately 50% of your time managing customer service issues via phone, email, walk-in traffic or onsite at games.

·  Assist with league management and maintenance. Spend 1-2 nights a week out at leagues.

·  Ensure all league games are problem-free.

·  Manage relationships with venues and permits.

·  Assist with permit applications, tracking and payments.

·  Assist with the management of part time event coordinators.

·  Manage and execute weekend special events.

·  Create rosters, schedules, standings, policies and other league documents.

·  Use social media to promote leagues.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

·  University or College Degree. Sales, marketing, business and/or sports administration is an asset.

·  A proven track record within a customer service industry.

·  You are positive, enthusiastic and have an endless supply of energy.

·  Strengths in planning, problem solving and decision-making.

·  Your friends describe you as outgoing and extroverted.

·  You enjoy dealing with lots of different people on a day to day basis.

·  You have a valid driver’s license.

OCCASIONAL UNIQUE WORKING HOURS
This will not always be a typical 9-5 job. Some weeknight and weekend work will be expected as the majority of our programs take place at that time. Monday-Friday employment will be structured as 3-4 days in the office (9am-5pmish), 1-2 days out at venues (1pm - 9pmish).
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

·  First year compensation will include a base salary and inclusion in the company’s profit sharing plan.

·  Expected first year ballpark number of $32K-$38K.

·  Full benefits program.
