Job Profile: Effectively implement and develop Anthony Nolan’s Community Fundraising strategy. You will be responsible for developing high value supporters maximising net income through building long term fundraising relationships.
Community fundraising at Anthony Nolan background
The Community Fundraising team consists of a Senior Manager, three Community Fundraisers, an Assistant and a Head of team based in London. We are also supported by the Supporter Services team.
We believe there is fantastic potential for growth at Anthony Nolan from Community Fundraising. We want to develop long term fundraising relationships with individuals and groups fundraising in aid of us, Friends groups and our network of Marrow student groups. . We have a good track record in community fundraising. We have seen Community fundraising income grow from £189k in 2010/2011 to just £800k net last year. We know that by building long term relationships there is great potential for further growth, particularly via developing our individuals doing their own fundraising, local adoptions and through supporting those choosing to fundraise in memory and in celebration of a loved one.
We have a number of strengths to draw on as we look to develop our community fundraising. Our case for support is emotive and unique: we are the only cancer charity who can offer people the chance of life. We have a fantastic social media presence and we are also currently looking to build our awareness levels and campaigning profile. The Community team acts as one of the central hubs of the Fundraising Division, liaising closely with the Individual Giving, Corporate and Events teams to identify and pass on contacts and opportunities.
The Fundraising Division has doubled net income in the last year. The organisational strategy and potential for further growth across all Fundraising make Anthony Nolan an exciting and dynamic place to work.

Key responsibilities:
These include but are not limited to:
Strategy & budget
· Responsible for meeting the growing and challenging Community budget increasing net income substantially by 2017/2018
· Effectively implementing and developing Anthony Nolan’s Community Fundraising strategy
· Responsible for developing high value long term relationships and maximizing net income
· Responsible for 6 figure income target
· Develop data reporting to understand and embed analysis of Community data enabling us to make decisions on behaviours and learning about supporters
Supporter Account Management
· Responsible for account managing high value supporters, developing and implementing personalised stewardship plans via telephone calls, face to face meetings, events and emails
· Ensure knowledge on all the offers of how a supporter to get involved with Anthony Nolan from across the organisation, tailor offers to supporters needs and communicate effectively and persuasively the offers at the right time for the support
· Responsible for preparing and leading important supporter meetings and representing Anthony Nolan solo
Cross organisational working
· Responsible for spotting opportunities for other fundraising teams and the wider organisation through working with our supporters and their communities, contacts and connections
· Responsible for representing the fundraising department as a whole; developing and coordinating cross organizational initiatives such as Marrow, Friends groups and Patient Appeals (total value 350k + per annum) maintaining key internal relationships, ensure the Community team is positioned as a hub for supporters
· Ensure all information is maintained on The Anthony Nolan database (ALMS) in conjunction with Anthony Nolan procedures and the Data Protection Act.
Management
· Management and liaison of external volunteers supporting fundraising initiatives or fundraising contacts supporting organizational initiatives
· Delivering engaging presentations and talks about Anthony Nolan, inspiring people to get involved with the organization in both financial and non financial ways
· Management of the weekly office volunteer, carrying out regular 1:1’s
· Data management – ensuring data is effectively captured and stored in line with Data Protection protocol.
· Management of advice on fundraising best practice for in aid of fundraisers
Ambassadorial Role
· To be the sole representative of the Charity at community events as required.
· Proactively network with other charity representatives to learn and share best practice and analysis
Other Duties
· To undertake any other activity reasonably requested by the Senior Community Manager and/or Head of Community Fundraising

Experience of working within relationship Fundraising or a similar role. You will be passionate about relationship fundraising and supporting / facilitating individuals and groups to maximize their fundraising, developing long term, sustainable fundraising relationships. / E
Excellent account management skills, able to demonstrate personal value added to fundraising relationships and how you have maximized these relationships / E
Ability to work as part of a team, able to identify areas for development, growth and improved efficiency / E

An excellent standard of I.T. literacy including Word, Excel and web-based technologies / E
