Please note the following:

·  Allowable, allocable, and reasonable expenditures encumbered within the approved project period will be paid with appropriate documentation.

·  For fixed-price awards, unexpended balances will be transferred per university policy.

·  Unexpended balances for all other grants and contracts (i.e., non-fixed-price) will be returned to the sponsor unless otherwise specified in the award document.

·  All incorrect charges to a grant fund and/or account-level overages within a grant fund MUST BE ADJUSTED within 30 days after the project end date.

The document retention schedule for this project should follow all applicable sponsor and university timelines. Please retain all project files until ______.

To assist with project closing and appropriate disposition of any fund balance, please complete this section by checking all boxes that apply, sign and return this page to ORSP (Box 13024). If no response is received by ORSP within seven (7) calendar days of the project end date, it will be assumed that the project will/did end as scheduled and the project will be closed per sponsor agreement and the fund closed.
