Position Title: / Behavioral Health Coordinator/RN
Reports To: / Program Director
Full Time Equivalent: / 1.0FTE
Basic Job Requirements: / Licensed RN, BSN; must be able to read, comprehend and respond to written English communication as well as hear and understand verbal English. Ability to speak in public. Must possess valid driver’s license.
General Description: / Provide services in the daily operation of the Behavioral Health Care Program
This position is based approximately 70% at HSC’s Gadsden Clinic Location and 30% at HSC’s Hobson City Clinic Location. Occasionally, there will be clinics at other satellite locations.

Specific Tasks:

  1. Oversee day to day project activities of HIV and HCV Testing, HAV/HBV vaccinations, and Prevention Education to assure compliance of the program with research protocol.
  2. Travel to satellite clinic locations as needed to fulfill job duties approximately once per month.
  3. Coordinating with Project Director on all project and in-service training, including the assessment of special training needs and response to training.
  4. Maintaining and updating the standard operating and procedural manual for the project including the detailed descriptions of all manually driven interventions
  5. Provide supervision for the Prevention Educator, Medical Navigator, and Driver/Toxicologist
  6. Assist Program Director in staffing and training of staff
  7. Assist with required grant initiatives and presentations related to the HSC Behavioral Health Program
  8. Collaborate with other HSC professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  9. Document services in HSC’s Electronic Medical Records System
  10. Facilitate psychotherapeutic/educational groups for the Behavioral Health Program
  11. Other responsibilities as needed or assigned

  4. Self-educate on a continuing basis to include the most current information in HSC’s substance abuse treatment programs
