COLLEGE VISITS: Seniors may take up to two days from school to visit colleges. However, you must pick up a form from Val in the office BEFORE going on the visit, have the form completed by the college personnel and then return the form to Val to have it an excused absence.

MSU Presidential Scholarships – given to 20 of the most academically talented freshmen applicants. Deadline is December 2. Visit for details.
The Davidson Honors College Presidential Leadership Scholarship – This award is given to incoming freshmen to the University of Montana. The Presidential Leadership Scholarship is the University of Montana’s premier academic scholarship, recognizing outstanding talent, academic performance and contribution to the community. To apply for the Davidson Honors College Presidential Leadership Scholarship complete the DHC online application by December 2.

AXA Achievement Scholarship – Learn more and download application at Deadline December 15 but only the first 10,000 applications are accepted.
Full-Circle Foundation scholarship - Begin applying online now. Applicants must be from rural cities and towns with populations of less than 3,000 in the states of Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota or Wyoming. Applicants must be from the first generation to attend college in their family. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5. For more information and to access the online application visit:
Alert Scholarship – Open to seniors with a GPA of 2.5 or better and plan to attend college. Write an essay about a personal encounter you or someone you know has had with drug and/or alcohol abuse. For the rest of the details, go online at There is no deadline.
The Touchmark Foundation – The Touchmark Foundation awards scholarships to support students pursuing degrees in nursing. In addition, the Foundation is supporting a special effort to increase the number of nurses available to teach tomorrow’s nurses. By helping to develop new nursing teachers, the number of nurses can be increased at a faster rate, and investments in nursing are leveraged for many years. The foundation places particular emphasis on student applicants pursuing geriatric nursing studies. Scholarships are available to students who live or pursue their nursing education in the states and province listed here: Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Alberta, Canada. UM – Missoula Student Scholarships – Download information and applications at The first scholarship is a Montana Resident Entering Student Scholarship Program. There are several scholarships available with different qualifications and deadlines so do some snooping when at this website!
FEEA sponsors the only merit based scholarship competition open exclusively to federal employees, spouses, and children. Available January – March.
GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program – awards college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with renewable scholarship. More information and online application at Deadline January 5.

The Pride Foundation – The Pride Foundation offers over 50 scholarships available to students from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington attending any accredited program or degree anywhere in the U.S. For more information, visit Application process opened October 11 and ends January 13.
Montana Jaycee Foundation Scholarship – Applications for our $1,000 Annual Scholarship for Montana Seniors are now being accepted. Military Order of the Purple Heart offers scholarships to eligible students. For qualification requirements visit: Deadline: January 27th.
New Deadline: Montana Youth Serve Scholarship – January 31 - Applicant must have completed at least 100 hours of volunteer service within a 12-month period. 12-months is defined as the period 12 months prior to the date of application. Service that is compensated may not be used for this application’s service hours. For a complete application, student will need:
- Verification of volunteer hours from your high school counselor, principal, or superintendent.
- Proof of acceptance or enrollment for the 2017 - 2018 academic year at a Montana Campus Compact member institution. Please attach a letter from the institution.
- Proof that you have submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Please attach the FAFSA confirmation email that you receive after completing a FAFSA at It should contain a confirmation number and no confidential information.
The Basin Electric Power Cooperative (BEPC) Scholarship program will award more than 175 scholarship in the amount of $1,000 each. Twenty of these scholarships will go todependents of member-cooperatives' employees. Another 134 scholarships will go to dependents of member-cooperative consumers. Each member-cooperative will be allowed one $1,000 scholarship to award to a dependent of a member-consumer. Each year, Montana Electric Cooperatives' Association (MECA)awards two scholarships in the amount of $500 each. The scholarships are funded by individual contributions to the Memorial Scholarship Program. In order to apply for the scholarship, applicants, parents or guardians must be a member of an electric cooperative and the cooperative must be a member of Montana Electric Cooperatives' Association. MSU Billings Scholarships – Visit Scholarships will be awarded on an on-going basis beginning in October with a priority filing date of February 1.
MSU-Bozeman Resident Freshman Scholarship – apply for admission (include GPA on the self-report form), send ACT or SAT scores to MSU, and complete Montana State Premier Scholarship application available online. These scholarships will only be available for a limited time so it is essential that you apply asap. The priority application deadline is February 1.
Elks Legacy Awards are $4,000 scholarships for children and grandchildren of Elks members. The Foundation will offer a total of up to 250 awards in the 2017 contest. Deadline: February 3rd.

ARA Foundation Scholarships – The equipment rental industry’s future success depends on having educated rental business and manufacturer/supplier owners, managers and employees.
To support that effort, theARA Foundationand its affiliate programs offer trade/technical/vocational, undergraduate and graduate scholarships to help students pursue their dreams.

National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Scholarships – a variety of scholarships at – follow the scholarships link for detailed information. Some examples of scholarships are: Richard and Elizabeth Dean Scholarship based on academic merit, political science, government, history, economics, medical and nursing. Deadline: February 10.
Montana Association of Conservation Districts Scholarship – GPA minimum 3.0 and plans to enroll in a course of study that allows students to explore natural resource issues, such as agriculture, agribusiness, animal science, range science, forestry, environmental science, land resource science, plant science, etc.

Montana Interscholastic Athletic Administration Association Scholarship – applicant must have participated in two sports for at least two years in each sport, have earned at least one varsity letter in each of two sports, and meet two of the following – minimum B+ average, ranked in top 25% of class, ACT score of 24 or SAT score of 1500.
