Calor Sustainable Community Champion 2014 – Calling Communities to make their voices heard:

Calor understands the work carried out each and every day by volunteers in parishes across the diocese of Limerick. Following on from the huge success of the previous two years, this year’s Calor community champion comes with an emphasis on sustainability. We want communities from across the country to make their voices heard, and help us search for local champions who go above and beyond the call in our parishes, who get things done, and work tirelessly each day to improve the lives of the people around them, and to recognise this work with a prize fund €10,000. The winner will receive €1,500 and a bursary of €7,500 to give to their nominated charity or local organisation. The two runners-up will each receive €500. Calor will also provide €500 for the person or organisation that nominated them. Nominations to crown this year’s champion volunteer will close at the end of September. For information and to nominate your local champion, please visit and ‘like’ at www.facebook.com/calorireland or call 1850 812 450 for an application form to be sent by post.
