Title: RFB/RFP #LH-0460 Signage

Subject: Questions and Answers

  1. As part of the Discovery phase which includes site and sign analysis would it be possible for our team to come out and visit to determine the sign types, inventory and styles?

Answer:A site visit will be conducted on Friday, July 21, 2017, 10:00 a.m. Plant Operations, 1500 South Main Street, Fort Worth TX, 76104, Point of contact-Rhonda Powledge, Senior Manager.

  1. I am assuming that you are requesting TURN-KEY, DESIGN/FABRICATION/INSTALLATION BID SERVICES, not just design consultant services.

Answer: Correct.

  1. Can you at this time supply full architectural plans that fully detail the construction limits of this project?

Answer: No.

  1. Can you advise the total square footage for each of the buildings/garages which are covered within this project?

Answer:First floor ~176,833 sqft, 2nd floor ~158,045 sqft, Garage 1: ~38,896 sqft, and Garage 2-6 ~183,440 sqft.

  1. A list of all project (architectural, engineering, etc.) participants involved.

Answer: The Evaluation Committee will consist of various JPS team members.

  1. Is Minority participation required upon all aspects of the project (design, fabrication, installation) or can it be centered around the largest portion of the fee (fabrication and installation), which has been typical within the signage field?

Answer: Not required on all aspects, but preferred

  1. What level of product quality is desired?

Answer: Good

  1. What is desired with regard to electronic directory(s), directionals, etc. or will all aspects of the program be considered as static.

Answer: Would consider it if economical and practical for use

  1. On a scale of 1 to 10, what aesthetic level of appearance, creativity, coloration, presence and most importantly, level of wayfinding/wayshowing hand holding is desired?

Answer: Best

  1. Has there been a negative level of Patient Satisfaction observed and acknowledged by the Administration.

Answer: In relation to wayfinding? Not a negative level, but people have said they need better navigation

  1. Until this project has been given a detailed inventory of assets, a comprehensive legend schedule and design solution, specific products have been selected and approved and a graphics contractor who has the capability of supplying the required products, this RFP response will need to be based upon industry standard square foot allowances and fee/product breakdowns. Do you agree, or is the Hospital looking for a not-to-exceed style of proposal with no specific hard input from the User.

Answer: Agree.

All corrections, changes, additions, revisions, and/or clarifications in this Addendum #2 to the

RFP are hereby made a part of the RFB/RFP for #LH-0460.

All Respondents to the RFB/RFP shall acknowledge receipt and acceptance of this Addendum #2 by

signing in the space provided and submitting the signed Addendum #2 with the RFB/RFP.

Proposals submitted without an executed copy of this Addendum #2 attached may be considered

informal and may be rejected.
