  2. Number of schools participating to date - 14
  3. Meeting notices – Volunteer Orientation Feb. 2 at CEG’s General Office
  4. 38 volunteers from CEG, INDOT, DPW – this is more than last year
  5. 39 volunteers from ACEC Indiana
  6. Resources? Guides? Suggestions? Discovere.org; ACEC website; Discuss what led you to engineering and what classes you took; Some teachers will add notes about specific information they may want you to discuss in the presentation; Discuss the lifecycle of a project – start with need, end with maintenance.

  2. Re-Contact the universities again.
  1. Scholarship update – deadline Feb. 6
  2. Contact co-ops and interns
  3. Keep sending the e-mail with the scholarship information
  4. Number of applicants – 1 received (Purdue, past applicant)
  5. Scholarship reviewers were assigned/ additional reviewerst still needed. There are at least 2 people for each scholarship application section – work experience, education, and recommendation. Would like more than 2 reviewers for the essay portion. If you would like to volunteer for one of the following, please let Colleen know:
  6. 1 Judge for Work Experience
  7. 1 Judge for Extra Curricular Activities
  8. Any additional judges for Essay (usually one-page in length)

The review by the committee is done electronically. Needs to be completed by the end of February, as the recommendation goes into National in March.

  1. Scholarship Golf Outing
  2. Looking at potential dates: 8/3, 8/10, 8/17, 9/10, 9/28. Contact Colleen if there are other golf outings or conferences which may reduce the number of participants in the ACEC outing.
  3. Same location as in previous years- Maple Creek Golf Course
  4. At the next meeting, Colleen will ask for volunteers for the outing.
  1. Career Fairs
  2. Send Colleen any spring career fair dates.
  1. Continuing Education Online Course Update
  2. Questions have been updated.
  3. Re-read and go through the Ethics questions to see if any clarification is needed. Send Colleen any comments by Feb 3. If you only have a small amount of time, please concentrate on Case Study 11-1.
  1. Ken Beache & Colleen thanked the committee. There are thousands of users who take the online courses and who need this opportunity. Thank you for your time and effort into making this a better process.
