CBC/Course Framework: Career Preparation A
CTE Standards and Benchmarks the student will be able to:
Standard 3: Analyze personal skills, interest and abilities and relate them to current career opportunities.
  1. Participate in assessments that identify personal areas of interest and aptitude, including utilizing results to develop a four-year high school educational plan.
Standard 7: Generate an electronic portfolio using digital tools, (student bio, career Plan A and Career Plan B, Activities and Hobbies) including interest, aptitude and skills confidence assessment results, academic research (college bound activity), 4 year-high school educational plan;
  1. Utilize word processing software to demonstrate professional writing skills by producing and editing business and personal correspondence documents.
  2. Create presentations using effective communication skills advance features of multimedia, including video, and audio editing
Standard 13: Utilize an online learning management system to engage in collaborative learning projects, discussions, and assessments beyond the traditional classroom that are goal oriented, focused, project based, and inquiry oriented. Examples: Moodle, Edmodo, Blackboard, Canvas, Google Classroom.

Title of Lesson: Audio, Visual features in PowerPoint
Objectives and Learning Target: Tointroduce advance features in PowerPoint 2013 presentation software; demonstrate how to navigate the PowerPoint 2013 environment, audio, visual features
During- Introduce how to add audio to a presentation to make it appealing and fun. Explain that music should be instrumental; it should not take away from the presentation but to add flare and creativity to the work. Visual are a fun feature that can help explain the creators point of view as well and can be added to a presentation (for example the video reflections used in the class can be incorporated in the presentation. Modify steps to show how to insert a video in to a presentation on the last slide.

  • Insert, audio (music) into a presentation and format the audio to ply across all slides
  • Add a video reflection from previous assignments to your presentation about PowerPoint.
  • Finalize all features for Me Myself and I

  • Save presentation and exit software
