9.  AOB / 1.  The works were completed to a good standard. The snagging list is being done at half term. There is not enough lighting behind the kitchen and. The pathway lights are being replaced. Gov question: Will the school monitor the effect on electricity bills? A: Yes.
2.  A trench had to be dug across the junior playground for the new power source but this is now dipping. The contractors have started repairs and will finish in half term. A leak was found in the hall cupboard which is thought to have been caused by vibration of works so AP wants Barnet Council to pay for it.
3.  The final part of the work was rewiring the site manager’s house. However this was cancelled at the last minute over a misunderstanding over the cost of redecoration because wires were to be chased. This has reached a stalemate. The options are a) The school shares the cost of redecoration b) the rewiring is trunked. Gov question: Is there a timescale for completing rewiring? A: No. Gov question: As the £200 offered was based on two rooms being decorated, will BC increase it pro rata as the whole house needs doing? AP will investigate.
4.  Summer works restricted by budget however we had the lower junior classrooms redecorated inc radiators and the fencing along Holly Park Road and built the packed lunch shelter.
5.  A list of jobs has been compiled and many will be done over half tem. Of concern is the edging in the infant playground which is rotting and coming away. Gov question: Is there a book for staff to record issues? A: No, it is emailed to SR and MM. Gov suggestion – could we have a BBQ for parents to help in the allotment.
6.  Staff training has been done on ladder safety, fire warnings, chemical hazards and manual handling.
7.  We had a Critical Incident policy previously but not a plan, now we have both. We also have 3 evacuation grab bags which are fully stocked. Gov question: How often will the bags be checked? A: Annually.
8.  The questions of the site manager’s house is to be discussed at the full govs meeting. / 1 Business manager to monitor electricity bills.
2 AP to continue dialogue with Barnet Council about paying for repairs to leak.
3. AP to ask BC if they will increase decorating budget pro rata?
5 BS and FQ to ask if anyone would like to take the greenhouse from the allotment as it is unsafe.
