CBE Companies has an immediate opening for a Product Owner in our LocateSmarter Division in our Cedar Falls, IA office.
OVERVIEW OF LOCATESMARTER
A subsidiary of CBE Companies, LocateSmarter was formed in 2012 as a cloud service company with a mission to deliver next generation cloud-based skip trace solutions. LocateSmarter provides a single-source, one-stop access to the most select consumer data providers in the industry. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
· As Product Owner, you will be accountable for the success of your product. This includes the backlog and scope of your delivery team. You will prioritize the backlog, Help define conditions of satisfaction, accept/reject stories. Additionally, communicate the vision of the product
· A product owner's key role is visionary, not tactical. The other organizations will support your strategic efforts; you won't be supporting their tactical tasks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Driving a solution set across teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through requirements, product contract, and positioning.
· Participate in the Agile development process, facilitating product development.
· Deliver Product Backlog and feature stories with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
· Define features, function, content or capabilities required to take advantage of opportunities.
· Accountable for ROI (Return on Investment) of product/team
· Solicit Customer and Stakeholder feedback
· Working relationship with Leadership Team to define and drive strategic and tactical roadmap.
· Working relationship with PMO, Scrum Master, Delivery Teams, Operations and IT, to provide initial project estimates for cost-benefit analysis.
· Build internal relationships through effective partnering and communications.
· Track industry trends and technologies and perform and report on competitive analyses.
· Work continually with management staff, relative to all issues affecting the product from a technological view with emphasis on planning, budgeting and product development.
· Participate in teams, projects and task forces as required to translate operational requirements into IT technical requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERENCES
· BS/BA Degree (preferred) in any field. 5+ years experience in Business Operations, Business Analysis with some IT Knowledge.
· Certifications in PMI-Agile and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Certification required within first 24 months in the position
· Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and aggressive individual who possesses both the ability to analyze complex technical issues and the skill to communicate complex technical issues in terms that are understandable to clients and staff whose expertise is outside the technical arena.
· Demonstrated success defining and launching a new product.
· Exceptional Organizational and follow up skills.
· In-depth knowledge of the day to day working of operations at all levels of the business coupled with operational technology needs and how to progress the business forward through the use of this technology.
· Possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time with all areas of the business to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions to drive performance and efficiencies forward.
· Truly superior written and verbal communication skills.
· Demonstrated proficiency in influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority.
· Exceptional planning, budgeting, communication and leadership skill.
