Annual Monitoring of Doctoral Programmes

The purpose of this report is to support the process of the annual monitoring of doctoral degree provision, which aims to ensure that provision is regularly reviewed and continuously enhanced. This form should be submitted to the Doctoral College for discussion by University Doctoral Studies Committee.

Part 2:

A. VITAL STATS ABOUT the year under review
Using data from the wiki, please comment on the demand for and recruitment to the programme, and the strategies utilised for increasing student numbers.
Using data from the wiki, please state the total number of leavers during 2016/17, indicating which ones were successful (graduating) or unsuccessful (no award) and comment on retention and success. What has the programme team/department learnt from the experience of these students leaving?
Using your data, please comment on the number of graduating students who passed first time, passed after corrections, passed after submitting a revised theses.
B. GRADUATE STUDENT DESTINATIONS
Comment on the employability and destinations of your graduating students using the DELHI survey data which is available at https://wiki.bath.ac.uk/display/dlhe/Home There are two standard reports for 2015/16 leavers (the most recent data available), which detail Postgraduate leavers by programme.
C. FEEDBACK FROM CURRENT STUDENTS
Please comment on any topics or issues raised by your students at SSLC or via individual feedback to yourself which were not raised in the departmental PRES2017 feedback, and the actions taken/proposed as a result.
