Britain’s much loved, quintessentially English, modern pop act Metronomy almost crashed the internet last month when Joseph Mount released new track “I’m Aquarius” after a two-year hiatus. The track was launched by Zane Lowe as his hottest record in the world, premiered on Pitchfork.com, had 120,000 SoundCloud plays in a matter of hours and went straight to #1 on Hypemachine. The track is from their highly anticipated new album, Love Letters, which will be released on March 11th.

Today Metronomy are pleased to announce the launch of the video for “I’m Aquarius,” which was made in conjunction with The Creators Project (a partnership between Intel and Vice).PRESS HERE to watch the video.

The video is directed by award-winning French video director Edouard Salier and produced by UK production company Somesuch & Co. Working in both animation and 3D, Edouard has created mind-bending videos often challenging perception. His music video “Civilisation” for French electro duo Justice, includes apocalyptic scenes, ranging from buffalos to a new world rising and won ‘Best International Short Applied’ at Playgrounds festival in the Netherlands. He is known for shooting live action as well as his work in 3D.

The video for “I’m Aquarius” is some of Salier’s best work yet – featuring hairless cats, a sci-fi goddess, Joe Mount in a space suit all against an incredible outer space background the video is as much epic as it is visually stunning.

Metronomy are returning to the US to play a sold-out show at Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York City on February 5th. More North American tour dates will be announced soon.
