Hello Harris Creek Eagles, this is Mrs. Sanchez with important announcements.

As you are aware, tomorrow is voting day. All Wake County Schools will be running on a 2 hour delay tomorrow so doors will open for students at 10:45am. Harris Creek is a polling site so be aware that there will be extra traffic in the parking lots. All voters will enter the gymnasium from the outside door leading to the gym and not the front entrance.

We are starting a Holiday Drive. Pre-K, K, and 1st are collecting new hats, scarves, and gloves for all children’s sizes. 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th are collecting non-perishable food items. Please bring donations to the classroom starting tomorrow through November 18. The items collected will be donated to families in our community.

BoosterThon Pledge money is due today for Tracks 1, 2, and 4. If you forgot to send it in today, please send it tomorrow morning!We can’t wait to start purchasing our new classroom furniture!

Our 2nd graders and Mrs. King’s 4th grade class will be putting on a Veterans Day Performance on Thursday, November 10 at 10:00am. All Harris Creek Veterans and family of the performers are invited to attend. Wake County Schools will not be in session on Friday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.

K-2 Drama Club will have their first practice this Thursday at 8:00am in the Media Center. All forms are due at that time.

Car pool parents- Do not drop your children off prior to the start bell at 8:45am unless they are here for a club or are on safety patrol. There are no adults outside to watch your children to ensure their safety.

Harris Creek student artwork will be on display for the month of November at 3 different community locations: State Employees Credit Union at Triangle Town Center and on Louisburg Road, and the Knightdale Library. Mrs. DeMartz would like to thank our creative, diligent artists! Please stop by and enjoy their wonderful work.

Our next School Spirit Night will be on Tuesday, November 15 at PDQ in Wake Forest from 4-8pm. A flyer has been posted to our Peach Jar account.

The 4th Grade Booster Club will be sponsoring a Holiday Vendor Fair at the school on Saturday, December 3 from 10am-3pm. There will be over 40 vendors, food trucks, raffles, and giveaway’s. Come do all your shopping in one place from small local businesses.
