The following are special events/activities for November 14, 2011-December 16, 2011:

*Monday, November 14

Geography Awareness Week Trivia Contest

O.B. Johnson Park, 4:00pm

Test your geography and world history skills in a fun afternoon of trivia questions.

*Tuesday, November 15

Cooking Class

Peter Bluesten Park, 4:00pm

The children will be learning how to make tasty pilgrim hats. A dessert they can make with their family to enjoy on the Thanksgiving holiday.

*Wednesday, November 16

Kids Krafts

Peter Bluesten Park, 4:00pm

Continuing the Thanksgiving tradition, the kids will be creating crafts with a Thanksgiving theme today.

*Thursday, November 17

Annual Turkey Shoot

O.B. Johnson Park and Peter Bluesten Park, 3:00pm-7:00pm

Come shoot baskets for your chance to win a free Thanksgiving turkey at Peter Bluesten Park and O.B. Johnson Parks.

*Friday, November 18

Annual Thanksgiving Spread

O.B. Johnson Park, 7:00pm

Bring a dish to pass and share a special evening together.

Fall Camp

The kids (ages 6-12 are welcome) have the week off from school, so bring them by the parks for a great couple days of fun, while you prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday.

No camp on Thursday, November 24 or Friday, November 25

The teens will engage in a friendly competition tonight playing a variety of games. R U up for the challenge?

This month’s movie matinee is Up the River featuring Humphrey Bogart, Claire Luce and Spencer Tracy.

The City of Hallandale Beach Historical Preservation Board will be offering tours of the Curci House to the public, so stop by and see this beautifully renovated home.

Holiday Time Once Upon a Bedtime

Calling all pre-schoolers to come dressed in you pajamas, bring a pillow and blanket and be ready for some fun before a bedtime snack and story.

Parent’s Night Out

Peter Bluesten Park, 5:00pm-10:00pm

Parents, this is a great opportunity to get some holiday preparations complete without the little ones around and they will be guaranteed to have a great time. Ages 6-12. Cost is only $5.00 per child and includes dinner and activities. Pre-registration required by December 7th.

The children will be making some ornaments that they can hang on their tree at home.

Teen Winter Fest Party

Teens only for the Winter Fest Party to include music and refreshments.
