Old Business
Ø Appropriation Committee Requests Approved from July meeting;
1. Rummage Sale BBQ - proceeds will be donated to the Youth Group as recurring donation.
2. Culinary Team Gifts - $100 total as thank you for the round the clock work they do for so many functions, as a recurring gift
Ø Oktoberfest – Planning Update from Matt Alexander – Chairman; next meeting 8/15 @ 630p in café; Greg Guntle – 50/50 tics passed out & speak to 10 tic/$100 minimum obligation pre-sale need. New Wrist band price $X ($10?? – check notes) for all beer & one meal, Man Power – need for all hands on deck to work shifts no excuses
Ø Softball Team – need for $200 jersey sponsor or is that filled? Nick – update on next game dates
Ø MC Yearly Activity Overview Project – Don Benjamin thanks for updating site; look to get ad in bulletin in Sept & coincide with our Donut Sunday which can be a recruitment push; ask monsignor if we can have pulpit talk?? Have 1-pager sell sheet done for Sept.
Ø Grandparents Breakfast – thanks to all! Great turn out to assist & event was well attended by parish members.
Ø Parish Project Needs Funding – Update: spoke with & emailed Monsignor Callahan on Top 5 ranked project needs we can fund with the 2015-16 $10K fundraising budget & he is to advise; once provided we will bring back to MC members & Appropriations for recc & vote
New Business
· PTO Ice Cream Social - (??Date in August); Bill Cannon - provide Fitz Root Beer? ; Men / officer to show to recruit young dads
· Parish Account Centralization – Archdiocese driven initiative for all Parish accounts to be centralized in to main Parish account, but with own P&L & tracking reports; checks signed by Monsignor & coordinated reimbursement to members by Leslie Patey out of Rectory; meeting Wed 8/10 for officers in Rectory on details & discussion; control of funds & decisions on projects supported still in hands of each organization….more to come on process
· Oktoberfest – update from Matt Alexander on next planning meeting date/s; 50/50 tics distributed to all members w expectation that all sell or buy 10 tics / $100 as pre-sale…importance of all member support, not a mandate to buy; Wrist Band – now $10 for all beer for YOU ONLY & one meal…with expectation to come & work shift/s & support the manpower needs…not an option!!
· Parish Feast day – sign Up Sunday 8/21 from 3-630pm; cook for dinner after 5 pm mass – Paul G overview needs; Ivan pass around sign up sheet
· Dollard Hall Flag – Nate Bisch asked for info on a rededication of flag by local VFW or Boy Scouts…maybe frame flag; anyone know how this could work?
