Role Title: italk Administrative Assistant volunteer

Location: italk, Black Horse House, Eastleigh

When: April 2016

Commitment required: Minimum of 3 hours weekly, between the hours of 9-5.

We do ask for a minimum of 6 months service

Main Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to support our busy Administrative team with their daily tasks to help the smooth running of the referral process to italk. The main tasks in this role are: processing paper referrals from GP’s, Community Mental Health Teams and other agencies using our patient management system (IAPTus), scanning of referrals and notes onto IAPTus as requested by PWP’s/admin staff. Other general tasks may include: complete patient experience questionnaires (PEQ’s), franking of letters, sending out promotional materials and filing of paper referrals.

Additional Notes

Part of this role will include liaising with other agencies it is therefore essential to have a good telephone manner as well as effective IT skills. Training will be provided as required and as relevant to the role. You may be speaking directly with patients if completing Patient Experience Questionnaires, therefore you must be able to deal appropriately with patient sensitive information and abide by strict confidentiality procedures.
