2014 Annual Meet the Funder Event - Wednesday 12th November The Bethel Centre – Oldbury.

Following on from last year’s hugely successful Meet the Funder Event, SCVO & Sandwell Council’s External Funding Team are making this year’s event even bigger and better with more Local & National Funders, more workshops, a bigger and more interactive market place and Key Note Speakers.

As part of our 5th annual event, we will be having presentations by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Big Lottery, Children in Need, Barrow Cadbury and many others including new workshops around On-Line Giving , Capital funding and European Funding.

This year we will also be running a number practical workshops for groups who may be considering applying to the Reaching Communities Programme or Children in Need, going through the relative application forms in detail to give groups the best opportunity to make successful applications

The cost of the event will be £15 if your organisational income is under £15,000 per year, however; we do have a number of free places, these are initially limited to the first 100 small organisations that book through Eventbrite. (These places are funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, SMBC & Walsall Council, we are looking to attract groups who may not normally attend this kind of event.). If your organisation income is over £15,000 per year the cost is £25 (This is an advance booking discount for any reservations made before the event).

Zoey West - External Funding Team Lead from Walsall Council will be talking about the Social Inclusion Strand and what opportunities this will bring to the local area.

Is Heritage just about old buildings?

Catherine Kemp and the team from the Heritage Lottery Fund WM ( will be talking about all of the Heritage programmes currently running, encouraging people to think about local heritage, detailing grants small and large. The team will also be on hand during the day to answer any questions you may have.
