Patient Care / Students must successfully pass the following three courses in order to sit for the End-of-Pathway Assessment:
·  25.52100 Introduction to Healthcare Science
·  25.44000 Essentials of Healthcare
·  25.43600 Patient Care Fundamentals
Credentialing Exam: / Certified Nursing Assistant or (Aide) (CNA) through an approved Nurse Aide Training Program (NATP)
NOTE: CNAs must complete a training program (Nurse Aide Training Program) that includes a minimum of 85 hours of classroom and clinical education. The Nurse Aide Training Program must be an approved program through the Georgia Medical Care Foundation. An approved program can provide training to secondary students at the high school or at a technical college through dual enrollment. Training is completed when the nurse aide student successfully passes a written and skills competency exam. Test Ordering Information: / The Georgia Nurse Aide Program has an outside testing agency to administer the written/ oral and skills competency examination. The nurse aide candidate must receive a Georgia Nurse Aide Candidate Handbook and testing application from the testing agency (Pearson Vue) at the following link: http://www.asisvcs.com/indhome.asp?CPCat=0711NURSE
or by contacting the Georgia Nurse Aide Registry at 678-527-3010 or 1-800-414-4358. The candidate handbook will have the following information needed for testing:
a. Introduction of the testing agency- currently utilizing Pearson Vue Testing Agency;
b. Eligibility Requirement;
c. Application and Scheduling Requirements;
d. Cancellation and Rescheduling Requirements;
e. Requirements for the Written or Oral Examination;
f. Sample Written/ Oral Questions- sample test (in the Candidate Handbook) are also provided on the website at:

g. The Skills Evaluation Requirements;
h. Listing of the Skills along with the Procedure Breakdown;
i. Exam Results;

The testing applications must be submitted to the address on the application along with all the requested information and fees. It will take twelve (12) business days to process all applications. Once the application is reviewed and processed, the candidate will receive an admission ticket with instructions regarding examination location and time of examination.

For schools that are interested in establishing their school location as a testing site, the site must have an approved Nurse Aide Training Program and five or more candidates taking the Certified Nurse Aide exam. To apply to become a testing site, contact the Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Service (NACES) by calling 1-866-432-2865 to receive the necessary criteria (lab and equipment requirements) for establishing a testing site.
Proctoring Guidelines: / If exam is taken at a Pearson Vue Testing Location, all proctoring activities are handled by testing location.
If a school has established its lab as a testing site through NACES; a NACES representative will act as the proctor for the exam.
