A WORLD BANK Y2Y OPEN HOUSE FORUM”

1:30 - 3:00 pm, Monday, March 21st, 2005

Room I-1200, (19th and I street, N.W.)

The Y2Y network, a group of a 1,000 young people working as staff and consultants at the World Bank, is proud to invite you to the Y2Y Open House for young people.

On this very day, over sixty country offices, all over the world, will open their doors to youth! In a parallel event here at Headquarters, we would like to invite you to

·  Learn more about what the World Bank is doing to empower youth all over the world

·  Understand how to build the skill sets needed to work on youth and development issues

·  Share your experience and ideas, and network with a panel of youth specialists and young staff

The Open House is organized following a commitment made by senior World Bank management during the September 2004 Youth, Development and Peace conference. During this event, the World Bank committed to engaging more actively with youth stakeholders to increase the access of young people to the local offices of the World Bank and to seek ways to engage with young people in the Bank’s work.. This forum is organized in parallel with this commitment.
