CGAP - Jim Rosenberg, Communications Officer, Technology Program

Jim joined CGAP in March 2007 to manage all aspects of strategic communications for the Microfinance Technology Program. Before joining CGAP, he was a producer for XM Satellite Radio’s public affairs channel and a public radio reporter, filing frequently for Marketplace. Rosenberg has a Master’s degree in Journalism from Columbia University, and attended the Universidad de Sevilla (Spain) for one year as a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar. He speaks English and Spanish.

U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator – Mark Landry, Strategic Informatics Specialist

Mr. Landry serves as the senior informatics specialist with PEPFAR, and is part of the Strategic Information (SI) Division within the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC). One of his chief responsibilities is coordinating U.S. government efforts to strengthen health information systems (HIS) capacity across all levels of host country governments and among PEPFAR implementing partners in support of achieving and monitoring HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment goals.

UN Foundation - Mitul Shah, Senior Director of Technology Partnerships

Mitul is directing a partnership between the Vodafone Group Foundation and the UN Foundation. The partnership leverages Vodafone’s core strengths – its mobile technology, global infrastructure, and capacity for mass consumer outreach – with the UN’s scale, mission, and human capital. Its goal is to support activities and manage initiatives that use technology tools to help the UN address the world’s toughest challenges more effectively and efficiently. He is also directing the United Nations Foundation’s efforts on program evaluation and performance measurement.

Peace Corps – Anthony Bloome, ICT Specialist

Tony is the Global Unit’s ICT specialist within Peace Corps’ Center for Field Assistance and Applied Research. He is responsible for supporting ICT for development good practice knowledge exchange among staff across all regions and sectors .He is co-chair of an Agency ICT Working Group looking at opportunities to capitalize upon Volunteer familiarity with and community utilization of technology for furthering development impact. Prior to joining Peace Corps, Tony worked as a distance education specialist with the World Bank for eleven years.
