Architectural Garage Model Project
Objective
This project is designed to provide the students with the fundamentals of residential architecture. This will include the principles and techniques of architectural modeling. The student will be provided time to complete a Garage Model.
Time Frame
20 days (20 hours)????????
Activity
Students will need to make a detailed 3D scale model of a garage. The following is what the student will be held responsible for.
*Scale, everything must be to scale
*Detail, the model must have as much detail as possible. (regarding the specs and the project)
*Detail should be interior as well as exterior
*Color, shapes, and materials used will all be judged and graded.
*Complexity counts
*Models will need a base as well as the landscaping done in relation to the Garage design.
*Some materials will be supplied but most will have to be your own creativity and brought to class yourself.
-Resources will be available from the teacher. Students must use and refer to model making resources that will be supplied by the teacher in order for them to be successful in model making.
Report
Students will need to type a Report that follows the following criteria.:
*On 8.5x11
*12 font, time new roman, double spaced
*At least 2 pages long of content
*Title page (name, title, date class)
*Complete sentences, spelling, as well as proper flow all count.
Content
The content should include at least all of the following in detail:
-Introduction to project (introduce it)
-Why it was designed? For what purpose does it serve?
-What you learned regarding this project?
-What you would do differently next time when starting this project?
-Conclusion to the project (sum it up)
Over all Project Procedures
-Students will need to stay focused and stay busy there should not be any off time during this project students are to stay on task
-A progress grade will be taken at teacher’s discretion.
When finished the student is to turn in the following:
Garage Model Kit Student Workbook
A detailed 3D scale model
A detailed Report
