ATE presents innovative coated brake rotors
Frankfurt am Main/Germany, September 16, 2008. With a large range of new coated brake rotors for the aftermarket, the ATE brand from the international automobile suppliers Continental puts their great innovative force to the test. The brake rotors have a wide range of features and benefits, for example, excellent braking performance, great optics and lasting corrosion resistance. The new product will be presented to the public at the Automechanika 2008 in Frankfurt (from 16 to 21 September).
The new coated ATE brake rotors that Continental will present at Stand A61 of Hall 3 are set to be one of the highlights of the Automechanika 2008 in Frankfurt. For the first time, the replacement parts retailers and independent workshops will not just be given the usual oiled brake rotors; instead, they will see a wide range of modern brake rotor technology in OEM quality that also makes a good optical impression.
ATE, the specialist in braking systems, delivers the highest quality in the market with the new coated brake rotors and adds value by offering customers a lasting rust-free look. The highly-carbonized rotors with additional alloy have many positive features and benefits, for example, they help prevent brake judder and noise. With the lowest tolerances of 30µm or less for run out and 10 µm or less in disc thickness variation, ATE is a system supplier offering OE competence and perfect solutions for the aftermarket.
ATE offers more than 100 years of experience in brake system manufacturing, and these coated brake rotors are yet another display of their quality, innovative technology and systems expertise. In addition to this, the benefit of being an OE manufacturer means that ATE can provide the aftermarket customer with fantastic options in product quality, value, and innovation. Combining the technical features of the coating with an attractive design allows the new brake rotors to offer real performance benefits and an attractive finish, when for example viewed through open aluminum wheel rims.
With the largest current range of coated brake rotors, second only to the automobile manufacturers themselves, ATE is now able to supply the aftermarket with OEM quality products. By the end of 2008, approximately 500 different brake rotors will be available.
The ATE brake rotors already come balanced and the majority is supplied with fixing screws as an added benefit. In addition, the workshops will not need to convert their internal systems to handle coated and uncoated brake rotors thanks to the use of the same product numbers.
Modern technology and the highest of quality requirements are a incorporated into all ATE branded products. The coated rotors are made of a high-tech material alloy which ensures optimum friction coefficient characteristics. This alloys are the best on the market and consistent quality driven production processes ensure the best braking performance right from the very start.
The high quality of manufacturing at ATE also ensures that, for example, the thickness deviations only have minimal tolerances of a maximum of 10 µm. In addition, the coating is made of an environmentally friendly material. The coated section of the rotor remains protected from corrosion even after installation. This doesn't just ensure safety, it also makes it look great.
