Strategic purpose – what you are trying to achieve

·  Extensive outstanding provision, quality and uptake of PE, sport and arts for the Rawlins community (current students, local primary schools and other potential users of the Rawlins facilities);

·  Financially profitable and growing provision for community sport and arts;

·  Successful partnerships with a wide variety of sport and art providers

·  Success of the football development programme

Key responsibilities – what you are responsible for

·  The promotion and management of community sport and art including holiday activities;

·  Management of the out of hours use of the fitness centre, 3G pitch, football foundation office, sports hall (including the climbing wall), gym and dance studio;

·  The football development plan (with the Football Foundation);

·  Increased participation and retention of identified target groups;

·  Supporting the PE and art departments;

·  The health and safety of staff and facility users;

·  Continual improvement of Rawlins’ community offer;

·  Securing funding;

·  Promoting positive lifestyle choices and an achievement culture;

Specific tasks – what you must do

·  Plan and oversee the out of academy hours sport, art and leisure programme;

·  Support the PE Department out of hours programme;

·  Manage appropriate budgets, delegating resources fairly and ensuring the principles of best value;

·  Manage out of hours use of PE and art facilities and bookings;

·  Ensure that PE, sport and art provision is fully inclusive and that the particular or special needs of all potential users are recognised and accommodated;

·  Promote and manage sport and art bookings;

·  Manage the out of hours use of the fitness centre, 3G pitch, football foundation office, sports hall (including the climbing wall), gym and dance studio;

·  Promote sport and art to the Rawlins Community;

·  Carry out relevant health and safety checks (in association with the premises and technical teams);

·  Implement and develop the football development plan;

·  Develop and lead action plans linked to participation and retention of identified target groups;

·  Lead, recruit and promote holiday sports and arts activities;

·  Support the PE department with delivery of extra-curricular activities, sportivate projects, satellite clubs, initiatives, primary sport development, competition hosting and competition entries;

·  Monitor and evaluate the impact of Rawlins’ community offer;

·  Identify and secure funding, grants, initiatives and projects to support the development of PE, sport, physical activity and arts;

·  Promote positive lifestyle choices and an achievement culture;

·  Be an exemplary role model for students, colleagues and the Rawlins community.

·  Undertake such reviews of progress as are required;

·  Attend relevant meetings, seminars and conferences;

·  Liaise with a wide range of partners;

·  Proactively seek to maximise the profitable use of Rawlins facilities for PE, sport, health and art;

·  Other reasonable duties that the Principal may ask you to perform.
