Classwork 40%

Project and Summative Assessment 30%

Parents: Please email me if you do not have an Infinite Campus password. I HIGHLY recommend checking your child’s grades every week. Students will receive their grade every Monday and asked to write in their agenda.

Rules and Procedures: I follow the SCMS Discipline Matrix found in your Agenda. The most important theme in my classroom is that students show respect for each other, adults, and materials.

Daily procedures include coming to class prepared, completing flashbacks, bellringers, writing in their agenda and completing classwork. I expect students to be responsible for these procedures each and every day.

Students will be required to set a goal for their grade in this class. Each Monday they will receive a grade sheet which has their current grade as well grades for each individual assignment. Therefore students will know at all times where they stand in this class, how they got there and how they can stay on track to reach their goal.

I view 8th grade as a time to prepare students for high school, for that reason I place the responsibility for turning in classwork and homework, and making up any missing work due to absence on the student.

I look forward to working with your student. Please feel free to email any time with questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Geri Ann Redmon
