The 2010 CIF semi-final team is back at work. Thanks to a great run at the end, the 2010 season was a huge success. We reached 20 wins again, advanced to the playoffs and had the senior dominant team go out in style. We have all the seniors playing in college with exception of one, and he attending a four year for his academics. In Brenton Allen, the tradition of a player receiving a baseball scholarship continues. The lower levels also received valuable experience. This year we are looking to add a sophomore team to begin the year.

This year’s projects are:

·  Replaced the backstops with split-face cinderblock

·  Cementing the dugouts

·  Astroturf halo around home plate

·  A possible clubhouse and/or storage area in matching cinderblock

·  New uniforms (again).

Last year we improved our facilities with:

·  A field groomer and a sit down mower

·  A generator for the batting cage lights

Our field and facility looks great. Coaches Eric Coelho and Pep Miranda have dedicated countless hours to the facility. Our program has increased the depth and numbers over the past four years tremendously. Our facilities, college-like workouts and practices, and players going o 4-year colleges have been a key reason for that. The Varsity team has a core of hard working grinders from teams past.

The purpose of this letter is to ask you for sponsorship for our essentials. Without your contributions, the program simply would not thrive. They are necessary for baseballs, bats, uniforms, maintenance, field equipments, and on and on and on. Baseball has expenses unlike a gym or football; the field must be maintained with equipment and hard work. Gahr has a remarkable tradition of excellence; help us take it to another level.

We are having our annual sponsorship drive where your player will send this letter out to raise money for the program. Each student/athlete can earn money by getting a sponsor or a simple flat donation to GAHR HIGH BASEBALL. The second way, and most common way, is to simply give a flat tax-deductible donation. Due to cutbacks and the school system economics, we have to fundraise. Unfortunately, it is for the necessities and bare essentials. Gahr has a strong tradition of excellence. Please give to the Gahr program and have your Gahr player maximize his baseball experience.
