Monthly Theme: Families and Differences
Important Information
· Please make sure to check your child’s backpack and your e-mail frequently throughout the week for correspondence!
· If your child is feeling sick, please keep them home to feel better. We have a small classroom and the germs spread quickly!
· Family Tree Projects are due Monday, December 3rd! Please send them in if you haven’t as of yet.
· On Friday, December 7th we will be going to an assembly called the Brain Show. Make sure to ask your child about the show and what they liked best!

AM CLASS
The morning class will be starting their unit on shapes. Throughout the month of December we will be learning about different shapes and how to recognize and draw them. This week we will be discussing circle and square and working on various activities to learn about these 2 shapes. We will also be talking about how we are different and sharing our family trees with one another. The morning class is also working on their fine motor skills and we are doing many more activities to strengthen our cutting with child safe scissors. Please check your child’s backpack for an informational packet from the speech therapists and teachers. Mrs. Shakin will be in on Wednesday to help us learn to use our words with each other!
PM CLASS
The afternoon class will continue their Handwriting Without Tears unit and this week we will be working on the letter “U” (Big line, turn, big line). We continue to use dot art, chalkboards, iPads, and our handwriting books to learn how to form the letters and pictures associated with the letter “U.” We will also be talking about how we are different and sharing our family trees with one another. The afternoon class is also working on their fine motor skills and we are doing many more activities to strengthen our cutting with child safe scissors. Please check your child’s backpack for an informational packet from the speech therapists and teachers. Mrs. Mariano will be in on Monday to help us learn to use our words with each other!
