Day 1

Friday 7/21/06

Game 1 @ 12:00 PM VS Dulin Dodgers (First Place last year)

Inning1234567F

Dulin40021018

HWSA00100001

Game Comment: Errors made the difference, but the team settled down as the game went on.

Game 2 @ 3:00 PM VS LA All Stars (high contender for this year)

Inning1234567F

HWSA00001001

LA010010-2

Comments: Solid play against very good pitching. HWSA had the bases loaded several times but could not bring in more runs.

The tournament is going very well. The weather held off today to get the games in as scheduled—major rain yesterday and most afternoons this past week.

We play at 9:00 AM Saturday and noon Sunday. Monday is off, and the doubleelimination tournament starts Tuesday for us. 20 teams are participating this year. Very good competition for our guys.

Day 2

Saturday 7/22/06

Game 3

This game scratched due to rain all day.

Day 3

Sunday 7/23/06

Game 4 @ 12:00 PM vs. New Jersey

Inning1234567F

New Jersey00033006

HWSA00001102

Game Comment: The guys are playing defense pretty well, but any mistakes are still costing us at this level of play. Bats did better, but we hit to the defense all afternoon and did not hit with runners in scoring position. We have had more runners on base than most of the teams we have played but can’t get them home yet.

Hershel Hepler (Ft Worth Riders) gave us a scare today when he ran into the fence full speed, head first. He is OK but has a sore neck. We have tomorrow off—practice at 10 am, so we'll see how he feels tomorrow.

Day 4

Monday 7/24/06

No games for us on Monday. Double-elimination tournament begins tomorrow.

Day 5

Tuesday 7/25/06

Game 1 Double-Elimination @ 12:00 PM vs. Indianapolis

Inning1234567F

HWSA00001--1

Indianapolis53201--11

Game Comment:Indianapolis had the best bats we have seen so far—at least they hit almost everything we threw at them—maybe just one of those days. They were the 4th seed going into double elimination. Our guys are 13th seed (out of 20) going into the Double-Elimination tournament having played the #1, #2, and #7 seeded teams to get there.

We play at 9:00 AM on Wednesday and then again Wednesday afternoon assuming a win in the first game.

Day 6

Wednesday 7/26/06

Game 2 Double-Elimination @ 9:00 AM vs. Dallas Pros (15 seed)

Inning1234567F

Dallas00000--0

HWSA3803---14

Game 3 Double-Elimination @ 3:00 PM vs. Indianapolis Athletics 17s (11 seed)

Inning1234567F

HWSA20151009

Indianapolis00000000

Comments: Games with strong pitching, strong fielding, and strong bats lead to big wins. The guys are playing well together. It was great to see them play to their potential.

We play at 9:00 AM in the morning and then again tomorrow afternoon assuming a win in the first game on Thursday.

Day 7

Thursday 7/27/06

Game 4 Double-Elimination @ 9:00 AM vs. Dulin’s Dodgers 17s (3rd seed)

Inning1234567F

HWSA00000123

Dulin’s 18s121015-10

Comments: We had a great week of baseball. The competition was very good from all the teams we played. It was great to see our guys compete well against some very tough teams.

We’re done for this tournament. We tied for 7th Place out of 20 teams.
