Hallow Angling Club Rules

Club Rules as revised at the AGM on 27th March 2014

General Rules

1)All members must be in possession of a current rod licence and membership card.

2)Barbless hooks only- Maximum size 12.

3)No groundbait, hempseed or boilies (Landlords ruling)

4)Junior Members and other children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

5)Visitors must be accompanied by a bona-fide club member. Two Visitors per session. The member shall be responsible for collection £6 fee per visitor.

6)Keepnets must be emptied after maximum of five hours. No fish over 3lbs to be kept in keepnets.

7)Keepnets to be sun dryed before fishing.

8)Do not use keepnets during prolonged hot weather.

9)Carp fishery approved nets only to be used.

10)Hallow Angling Club will not be liable for personal injury, loss or damage to equipment. Please note there is no insurance cover taken out by Hallow Angling Club.

11)Cars are parked at owners risk and parked in accordance with Landlords signage.( Please use the Car Park.

12)Sunday mornings 1st June – 31st October inc, both pools are reserved for match fishing. Individual anglers fishing after matches have finished, are requested not to arrive before 2.00pm to avoid car park congestion.

13)All litter to be taken home.

14)Both pools will be closed on Sunday 18th May between 8.00am and 12.00.

15)Method Feeders banned.

Match Rules

1)Banned baits- Groundbait, Hempseed, Boilies and pellets in any form other than carp. Loose fed floating bread as an attractor or liquidised bread.

2)Matches to be of Five hours duration- start and finish on Secretary’s whistle.

3)Peg selection will be made prior to the draw.

4)Pools- £3.00 prizes to be 1st and 2nd place on each pool. At the discretion of the match secretary as to numbers per pool.

5)3 keepnets reqd 1 for silver fish and 2 for carp up to 50lb per net.

6)Team selection- Members will be selected from the two matches prior to the team match i.e. first match- top six plus match secretary. Second Match- five more qualifiers.

7)All floating baits are banned.

8)No visitors to fish any matches.

9)Anglers either side of Match secretary to do weigh in unless physically unable too.

Please note. Members are encouraged to challenge other members regarding guests.Then to contact any number above with the card name/Number and number of guests to ensure monies can be collected. When challenging fisherman if concerned take registration number plate and text in case they become aggressive then they can be reported to the police. Please note no insurance cover exists while members are at the pools.
