This report will show all Counties Congregate Treatment as Voluntary Non-Specialty Congregate. For Broome County, this represents Catholic Charities Residential Programs only. In Broome County, the other beds within Congregate Treatment are run through Greater Binghamton Health Center. These beds include 24 in the Community Preparation Unit and 24 in the Transitional Living Unit.

Broome County median length of stay for Congregate and Apartment Treatment is the lowest compared to all other counties. Supported Hosing has the second lowest. (Unit of Measurement = Days)

Broome County has the lowest percentage for Congregate and Apartment treatment compared to all other counties. Broome County’s Supported Housing has the second lowest percentage. The three program types within Broome County, Supported Housing has the highest percentage but this is expected since it is designed to be a longer term treatment level and often exceeds two years.

The “Percent discharged to Article 28 (Hospital)” is often used to illustrate the ability of residential services to maintain clients in the community. (Article 28 does not breakdown if a client is discharged because of Mental and/or Physical Health) Broome County is one of two counties who has had all three treatment types discharged to Article 28. Compared to the other county, Broome County has a slightly less percentage in all three program types. Oneida County has the highest percentage discharged to Article 28 for Congregate Treatment alone.
