18:30Welcome and unofficial opening: presentation of the host organization Pomorania and presentation of the seminar
Paweł Kowalewski (president of the Kashubian Student association Pomorania) and Sebastian Seehauser (president of the Youth of European Nationalities)

20:30Integrating evening and division into workshop groups: There will be different games for getting know each other and to develop team spirit. With the help of these games the topic of the seminar will be introduced: Solidarity, which means a basic principle of human coexistence.
21:30Kashubian cultural evening: with young talents from Pomorania, who like to share their passion for music, songs, literature and dance with the participants.

Welcome speeches: Paweł Kowalewski – president of POMORANIA, Łukasz Grzędzicki (president of the Kashubian Pomoranian Association), Paweł Adamowicz (Mayor of Gdańsk), The Chairman of the Ukrainians Association in Poland, Sebastian Seehauser (President of YEN)
Introduction to the subject matter of the seminary, indication the main problems of the Kashubian ethnic group and the main problems with the Ukrainian and Polish minority.
12:30Sightseeing:Gdansk and its history – Gdansk is the capital of the Kashubian minority in Poland.The tour will be focusing on the impact of Gdansk during the Solidarity movement.The founder of the YEN partner organisation Pomorania, Lech Badkowski, was himself involved in the Solidarity movement in the 1980's.

Beginning of the 4 workshops with 15 participants each. The workshops will be in English and one in German language.
The main objectives are to present the history and to analyze the importance of the Solidarity movement phenomenon. The Solidarity movement was born in 1980’s in Poland and passed into history as a very significant occurrence which involved over 10 million members. Today the heritage of “Solidarność” retains its validity and can foster strengthening fundaments of democracy in Central-Eastern Europe.

21:00Exchange market – Some good examples of youth work and of promoting networking projects. Each minority has the possibility to presents itself in a creative way.

13th October, Saturady, 50th anniversary of the Students Club Pomorania

11:00 – 14:00 “Solidarity in Diversity”
Creating the graffiti entitled „Solidarity in diversity” in a railway tunnel in Gdansk. Each minority will paint thepart of this big graffiti; for doing that, they willhave to answer the question 'what is solidarity foryou?'. The main aims: cultural integration and connection of different visions of this motto.

16:45Solidarity with minorities
Parade and presentation of the minorities – passage through the Gdansk Old Street to the St John’s Church. The participants from the different minorities will pass the Old town, using and presenting their flags, clothes, instruments and other characteristics.
17:30 Music concert“Solidarity in Diversity” at St John’s Church with the participation of minority groupswith the performances of Ukrainian andKashubian bands to make the project visible to theoutside.During this concert, the participants will beable to get to know the Ukrainian and Kashubianculture through the presentation of dancing and
singing groups.

Workshop
The Idea of the Solidarity
Main objectives: To introduce the philosophy and the importance of the Solidarity Movement phenomenon. With the knowledge they will obtain, the participants will be able to answer the question about the sense of solidarity in the context of modern changes in Central-Eastern Europe.
Workshop
Social Participation
Main objectives: To familiarize the participants with effective methods of raising social awareness, to reflect the sense of social solidarity, and to perfect the ability of shaping social awareness.

Social Change
Main objectives: To analyze the essence and mechanisms of the process of social change. Participants assisted by the workshop leader will search for the most effective ways of initiating and participating in social change.
Workshop
Role of a Leader (with german translation)
Main objectives: To show the participants how the leadership is important nowadays as well as how and what kind of challenges the single actor has to deal with to change the world for the better. During the workshop participants will be involved in different activities and discussions about the role of a leader.
The workshops will be interdisciplinary, full of energy, with presentations, films, debates etc. They will be led by professional trainers from the European Solidarity Center.
