Dear Claire

Many thanks for your time on Tuesday afternoon.

I trust you found the afternoon purposeful and hope you were not too late in getting back to Liverpool Street.

I will keep you updated with the progress we are making here and I do feel that we sit at that 'tipping point' in South Norfolk where we can develop suitable sites for Gypsies & Travellers.

Thanks again for your time.

Regards

Geoff

Dear Geoff

Thank you - as I said then, it was a real pleasure to meet an authority where both members and officers are takingsuch aconstructive approach to this issue. I've had an initial discussion with colleagues here about the proposals we discussed yesterday, and xxxxxx will be in touch with your team in the next week or so with a view to working up some more detail.

Thanks again and kind regards

Hi xxxxx - as discussed, grateful if you could get in touch and ask them to set out something on paper for us. It would be particularly helpful if this could cover:

- how to ensure that the proposals offer VFM to the public purse(we may be suggesting paying a premium for land, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't be able to demonstrate that this approach offers VFM when alternative costs of delivery are taken into account- e.g. enforcement, legal costs for CPO, etc);

- what S Norfolk intend to offer by way of mitigating the presentational and financial risk of such a project, and how they intend to shareresidual risk; and

- what they would be looking for from CLG.

thank you!

Claire

Dear Geoff

Haveyou been able to take forward any of the issues discussed at our meeting with you in February?

Further tomy earlier email, Claire hasasked if you would be able to set out your ideas on paper for us? It would be particularly helpful if the following issues could be covered:

1. how to ensure that the proposals offer VFM to the public purse(we may be suggesting paying a premium for land, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't be able to demonstrate that this approach offers VFM when alternative costs of delivery are taken into account- e.g. enforcement, legal costs for CPO, etc);

2. whatyou intend to offer by way of mitigating the presentational and financial risk of such a project, and howyou wouldintend to shareresidual risk; and

3. whatyou would be looking for from CLG.

I look forward to hearing from you on this matter.

Best wishes
