Scene 1: Kill the Kid
Ext- Dark Street- Nigh
MARK is walking down his street, towards an unknown place. He is 16, wearing daggy clothes that hang off him like loose skin.
CUT TO:
Ext-Bike Path- Night
MARK is walking along casually, when he sees two GUYS up ahead, just standing there staring at him. He keeps walking.
The two GUYS walk towards him. MARK is looking scared now. The GUYS reach him; one grabs his neck and pushes him.
GUY #1 (to GUY #2)
Here, use this. (unsheathes knife and hands it to GUY #2)
GUY #2 looks at the knife briefly, like a madman, then plunges it into MARK several times. He pulls out the knife, which has a piece of MARK’s gut on it. MARK is covered in blood.
MARK (wheezing and barely alive)
I’ll get you ****ers back!
(throws up blood and dies)
GUYS (laughing)
Don’t give us crap about revenge, you filthy piece of roadkill! No one would want to date you with a face like that!
GUY #1 (kicks MARK’s body)
Let’s go.
GUY #2
Yeh, dead bodies freak me out!
As the GUYS walk away a blood-ravaged hand rises, clenching a bloody knife.
CUT TO
Scene 2: Finding Slash
Ext-Dark Street-Night
It is silent, and a dull glow emits from the street lights. Unexpectedly, a figure steps in under the light, clenching a long knife.
Int-House-Night
There is only one light on in this house, and two mature-looking guys are watching horror movies.
MOTHER (from kitchen o.s)
Time to turn off that idiot box and go to bed!
JAKE (very ticked off)
Oh what! We’re halfway through the movie and this psycho is about to dice these drugged-up kids! Give us a break!
MOTHER (from kitchen o.s)
You can finish the movie tomorrow, off to bed!
JAKE
Fine. (under his breath) Stupid bitch!
JAKE and ADAM go down the hallway, and turn off all the lights. We track with them as they go down the hallway, with torches in their hands.
Int- JAKE’s Room- Night
A dull light glows from a corner of the room, and we can barely see the guys get into their beds.
Ext- Outside JAKE’s House- Night
The GUY walks through the garden, still holding the long knife.
GUY (in low, growling voice)
As silent as my graveyard.
He steps up to the door, and turns the handle. It opens.
UNKNOWN GUY
How convenient. Leave the door unlocked!
He steps into the house.
Int- JAKE’s Room- Night
Jake hears a door slamming.
JAKE (whispering)
Hey, ADAM! Wake up! Some faggot has broken into my house!
ADAM gets up, and follows JAKE out into the hallway. As they walk toward the door, they don’t notice SLASH silhouetted against the moonlit window.
JAKE (panicking)
Who’s there?
JAKE and ADAM walk outside.
ADAM
Is anyone out here?
They see another guy sitting down outside his house, crying.
JAKE
Hey JOEL! What’s up?
NEIGHBOUR
Some guy was in my house and when I went to check who it was, there was no-one there. It’s freaking me out!
ADAM
$#!+, that same thing happened to us!
JAKE
We should split up and find this stalker.
CUT TO
Scene 3
Ext- near JAKE’s House-Night
NEIGHBOUR JOEL is shining his torch on everything in sight. He cautiously rounds a corner of JAKE’s house and…
SLASH springs out, grabs JOEL by the neck and chokes him to death. SLASH pushes the body away and it falls to the ground.
SLASH (pointing to the body with his knife)
Never get in my way when I’m trying to kill! It’s chop-chop for the rest of your pathetic friends!
SLASH walks away.
Ext- MIKE’s house- night
We see a group of teens standing around in a front yard drinking and talking. JAKE approaches them, finding some familiar faces in the crowd.
JAKE
Hey DEREK, hey JACK! What are you guys doing out here?
DEREK
MIKE was afraid that someone was stalking him, so we came to have a party and keep him company.
JAKE
Yeah, it happened to us as well! Some ****head is stalking everyone in the street!
MIKE breaks off from the rest of the group and walks past a fence into the darker side of the street.
Ext- Dark side of the street-Night- (silent)
Mike is looking back at the house when a hand taps him on the shoulder with a knife. When he turns around, SLASH is standing in front of him, illuminated by a street light.
SLASH (in a mocking tone of voice)
Wakey, Wakey MIKE!
MIKE (scared)
What do you want?
SLASH
I want your flesh…
SLASH walks towards MIKE who turns around and runs. Just as he reaches the house, a knife strikes his head and he coughs up blood and falls over.
SLASH (mocking)
Parties over kids!
The kids scream and run.
SLASH kills a few kids stupid enough to linger around
STUPID GUY
What? What? Where is everyone going?
SLASH (grinning)
I’m an uninvited guest.
STUPID GUY
What do you ****ing want?
SLASH
Let’s play a game, kid. I’m the psycho zombie mass murderer guy, and you’re the dumb-ass kid who’s about to get cut up.
STUPID GUY
So what, I’m the guy whose supposed to get sliced…(he realises what is about to happen) ****!
We see blood splattering SLASH’s face as he hold the guy down. He raises his hand and licks it.
SLASH
Mmmmmm…I want more!
He runs away, looking for kids to kill
Ext-Park-Night
Two guys are hiding in the bushes, looking scared.
WIMPERING GUY
Who is that guy?
WEIRDO
I don’t know, but he freaks the hell out of me.
WIMP
It’s worse than those Halloween massacres people keep talking to us about.
An arm reaches out and chokes WIERDO. WIMP GUY jerks and falls over, blood spraying everywhere.
SLASH
S***heads.
Ext- Street- Night
JAKE is running along, looking for ADAM.
SLASH (mocking)
Hello…JAKE! Remember me?
JAKE
Who the hell are you?
SLASH
Let’s see…your worst nightmare!
JAKE (in a stronger voice)
**** off!
JAKE picks up a stick and whips SLASH across the face. It leaves a weeping cut on his face.
SLASH
Why you little s***! Come ere!
SLASH walks quickly towards JAKE, but JAKE is too fast and gets away.
SLASH
Damn! Little maggot!
Scene 4: Protagonist’s Trump
Ext- Pathway-Night
ADAM is walking down the pathway, when he bumps into SLASH.
SLASH
Hello.
ADAM
S***
SLASH rips out his long knife, and strikes ADAM on the head
SLASH
One down…one more to go!
JAKE runs down the pathway.
JAKE
ADAM! (stops just short of SLASH)
JAKE turns around and runs away. SLASH catches up and tackles JAKE. He holds JAKE by the throat.
JAKE is choking, and blood dribbles out of his mouth.
SLASH
That’s it…a nice and painful death.
On his last scrap of energy, JAKE pulls a knife from SLASH’s pocket and says…
JAKE (still choking)
Since when… did the hunter… become the… hunted?
SLASH (confused)
What the…?
We see JAKE push the knife into SlASH’s stomach.
SLASH
You know…I can’t…die!
(goes loose and dies on JAKE)
JAKE heaves the body off and stands up. He throws up blood.
Ext- Pathway- Day
A few kids are examining the body of SLASH, still with a knife in his stomach. The place is littered with blood.
KID
Who is this guy?
SLASH’s arm slightly moves…
KID (screams)
he moved I saw him move!
KID #2
Yeh right!
They walk away…
SLASH jumps up, pulls the knife out of his stomach, sneaks up behind the KIDS. He holds the knife above their heads, grinning like a madman…
cut to black, roll end credits.
