ATTENDANCE POLICY: Attendance is mandatory because student success and good attendance go together. People who do not come to class do not succeed. The class attendance grade for this class will be divided into two periods: ADD DATES LATER. Students earn half of the attendance grade for each time period. Students who are absent for more then three hours per time period will earn 0% for their class attendance grade. (Some exceptions may be made when the student plans an absence in advance with the instructor.) Occasional emergencies may arise. If students must miss a class, they are responsible for finding out what they missed. Missing a class is not an excuse for handing in late work or being uninformed about class work and assignments. Each instructor will have individual requirements that will be included in the attendance grade.

TESTING POLICY: The student is required to take all examinations as scheduled. The student who is ill must contact the instructor prior to the exam so other arrangements can be made. The student must make up the exam within two class days of the original testing date. The instructor reserves the right to determine whether a make-up exam will be given and the format of the testing method.
