ADDITIONAL LEARNING SUPPORT MANAGER

£36,015 to £42,996 p.a. (Full time/full year).

Start date January 2017.

The Learner Support team at the College are looking to recruit an Additional Learning Support Manager to lead development on all aspects of SEND provision. The successful applicant will work with a cross-College team to oversee the management of learning support needs for all learners with a diagnosed or recognised learning difficultyordisability.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and hold a relevant SEN qualification. Experience of working within FE, supporting learners and supervising a team is essential. Effective communication and strong influencing skills are a must, as is ability to respond to varied needs, pressures and deadlines.

LEARNER SUPPORT ASSISTANT – BANK

£9.72 per hour. Various hours available.

Fixed term contract initially until the end of May 2017.

You will join a team of staff in supporting students across our campuses. The students may have learning difficulties, disabilities or basic skills needs and a broad knowledge base will be essential. You will assist with student(s) activities in lessons by giving support and/or guidance with course work requirements, care or other relevant support as directed by the line managers and provide support outside course hours, including meeting from and returning to transport and providing lunch or break cover as required. Successful candidates will be qualified to a Level 2 /GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).

LEARNING TECHNOLOGIST

£20,658 to £23,151 p.a. (Full time/full year)

The Innovation team at Sussex Downs College is looking for a dynamic learning technologist to join our team. You will be responsible for rolling out existing and developing new initiatives that maximise the impact of technology on teaching and learning.

You will work as part of an agile team to design, develop and maintain our various eLearning platforms including Moodle, G Suite and ProMonitor and support our staff to use them. You will also design and deliver Learning Technology training sessions to our teaching and support staff.

You will be qualified to a degree level (or equivalent) in Technology or related discipline and have experience in training on Learning Technology systems.

LECTURER in ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION

£20,064 to £23,847 p.a. (Full time/full year).

Fixed term contract initially until July 2017.

Electrical Installation lecturer is required to join our specialist team of teaching staff to deliver theory, training and assessment to a range of students from Level 1 to Level 3. You will be responsible for your own scheme of work to meet the needs of the awarding body.

This role will appeal to qualified electrical installation professionals who love what they do and enjoy inspiring students and apprentices to succeed. Assessor/Verifier qualification would be an advantage and those without a teaching qualification will be expected to undertake one.

You will also be expected to carry out an element of tutorial with a group of students and record details on our e-system.

QUALITY ASSURANCE CO-ORDINATOR – CONSTRUCTION, CARPENTRY & JOINERY

£26,040 to £27,624 p.a. (Full time/full year).

This is an exciting opportunity to join the high performing team in our Construction Carpentry & Joinery department at Eastbourne. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to co-ordinate apprenticeships, develop our e-portfolio systems and carry out work-based assessments for Construction C & J apprentices.

The applicant will have excellent communication skills, significant industrial experience, NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Carpentry, and appropriate ICT skills.

You will be required to support and assess students studying on Carpentry & Joinery apprenticeships, part time and full time courses. This will mean developing relationships with employers, motivating timely completion of apprenticeship criteria, carrying out on-site assessments and ensuring employers' and apprentices' experiences are outstanding in terms of development and achievements.

A clean driving licence and access to or use of transport are essential as the successful candidate will need to work across the county.
