2 / Apologies
Apologies noted.
3 / Review of the purpose of the group;-
The group discussed the role and remit of the group and agreed the following -
The 3 Key Areas are Kinlochleven, Caol and Fort William.
There would be fewer outcomes but these would be action based and evidence community engagement and improvement.
It was agreed that to maximise the impact of the group, all members would take an active responsibility to participate and feedback from all associated meetings, to the Core Team.
A generic email was to be considered for a focal point of contact.
Copies of the Distribution Lists for the Community Partnership Core Team were handed out and members asked to report back if any alterations were required.
Scott Dingwall apologised as unable to attend the meeting of the Health Sub Group on Monday 20 February 2017. / ALL

4 / Review of Membership
The group discussed the membership of the Core Health and Economic Sub Groups. Both the Core and Health Groups were confirmed at the meeting, however, the group discussed at length, the role and purpose of the Economic Sub Group.
The discussion and agreed action, was as follows -
As the Lochaber Business Forum (LBF) already exists, it was questioned if having an Economic Sub-group would be a duplication of work and if the LBF should be considered as the sub-group.
It was suggested that it would be trialled for a member of the Team, to attend the LBF for a good robust discussion regarding Economics and Employability e.g. Apprenticeship Schemes, University Town Status, NSA.
A positive meeting had already taken place between Marie Law, Robert Muir and Scott Dingwall and it was felt another discussion is required.
A meeting with Jan Baird is to be arranged where questions from this meeting can be directly asked.
It was agreed it would be beneficial to find out how Lochaber sits within the Highland Economic Forum and for a member to go along to hear the discussions to find out which groups would best fit in. / MARIE LAW

6 / Demographics and Toolkit
The Community Partnership Toolkit was completed by the group. Marie Law agreed to format the response - to be shared, at the next Health Sub Group.
It was noted by the group, that the new Partnership was supported and benefited by the good work of the previous District Partnership.
The demographic information was shared with the group, however, it was agreed that this was very high level and there was a need to refer to previous demographic work undertaken locally to further inform decisions of the group.

It was noted by Ross MacKenzie that more information for individual members of the team is required before any action takes place.

Pat McElhinney reported that the Fire, Police and Ambulance Services are working with schools in Lochaber and this ties in with the Locality Plan.
