EMT Enrollment Information
All new students to Pierce College District must apply to the College using the link below:
If you have questions about paying tuition or assistance options please contact one of the following departments: Financial Aid at Fort Steilacoom at (253) 964-6544, Cashiering (Tuition Installment Plan) 253-964-6700, Veteran’s Assistance at (253) 964-6505 or Go Army Ed at (253) 967-7174.
Please indicate that you are taking the Emergency Medical Services course on the admissions application. If you are seeking a different degree, indicate if the degree is an Associates or Certificate.
- Students must check their Pierce College student email (smail.pcd.edu) regularly for Pierce College requirements and advisor notes.
- Students must attenda Pierce College ‘New Student’ Orientation as directed through smail (which is different from the EMT Mandatory Orientation).
- College 110 is required for all Pierce College Certificate and degree bound students within their first 2 quarters of attendance. Delayed attendance can be arranged by EMS Advisor.
- Students attending only the EMT course will not be required to attend the College 110 requirement unless they do not complete within one quarter.
Military Personnel using Tuition Assistance:
- Students follow the above procedures for registration at any Pierce College campus
- Students then contact the GoArmyEd specialist with a copy of your class schedule and either call (253) 912-2243 or e mail
- Register through the GoArmyEd or Air Force Virtual Education Portal
- Pay all associated fees
MYCAA students:
- Request your MYCAA 10 weeks in advance
- Request each class put on an individual voucher (EMT210, EMT211 and EMT 212)
- Each class must have the exact beginning and end date(s). Please contact our office at (253) 964-6556 for specific dates
The cost of the program is:
- Tuition: approximately $1,610.00 (includes Lab and campus fees)
- Textbooks and supplemental materials $350.00 - $380.00
- Additional costs (CPR card, background check and urinalysis test) approximately $180.00
