Hi everyone,
Welcome back to another year of junior golf at the Antigonish Golf and Country Club. Dave Deluzio and I wanted to give you an update about our junior program fees and start-up, and we wanted to provide you with the planned dates for our summer golf clinics (see below).
The junior golf program is available to youth of all ages both male and female. The cost of the junior program is $125 plus tax for the summer. This fee entitles the junior player(s) to the weekly clinics as well as the opportunity to play 9 or 18 holes of golf on the day of each clinic. In addition, junior players have a chance to win numerous prizes during the clinics themselves.
Last year, we had a very successful Junior golf season and a number of new players in the area took a liking to the sport. We are always welcoming new players to our program and as a result, we encourage your kids to invite their friends to join. Depending on the number of participants who register, we will determine at a later time whether we will need two separate sessions for the clinics. The number of kids participating last year compared to 2013 is a 133% increase. We are hoping this year will be our biggest and best year yet.
Parents will be informed of any changes with the program by email. We ask all parents to fill in the attached form in order to register your child (children) and we can keep you informed on any developments with the program. Also, if you would like to help with our program we encourage you to fill out the volunteer section on the junior registration form.
On a final note, if your child purchases a full junior membership at the Antigonish Golf and Country Club then these clinics are already included in their membership fee. It is not an additional cost.
