Race Format

Electric Classes: Controlled 540 Tourer, Stock Tourer, 19T Tourer and Modified Tourer.

Nitro (GP) Classes: Pullstart Tourer and Nitro Open Tourer.

All classes will have a minimum of three (3) maximum of six (6) qualifying rounds. Four or five rounds for each class Saturday with final round of qualifying before finals on the Sunday.

Race Times

All qualifying rounds for Electric and Nitro Tourers will be five (5) minutes with two (2) minutes between rounds.

Electric will have three (3) 5 minute A finals and one each lower final.

Nitro will have one (1) 30 minute A final and ten (10) minute lower finals.

Maximum of eight (8) cars per heat and final.

Lap Scoring

Transponders will be used.Entrants responsibility to securely attach transponder to their vehicle, if a transponder falls off laps will not be manually counted. Drivers to take care and attach the correct allocated transponder to their vehicle. Personal transponders catered for.

Marshalling Duties

Drivers will be required to marshal the race immediately following their race, except in finals where race control will advise marshalling duties. If you are unable to marshal you must provide a substitute marshal and inform race control prior to the start of the race concerned. Failure to marshal will mean the loss of best result in heat or final.

Scrutineering

All cars are to be placed on the scrutineering bench in front of race control after each heat and final for random checks, cars maybe collected after the completion of your marshalling duties or if scrutineer is satisfied.

Trophies

Trophies will be awarded to all A finalists, TQ for each class plus an Electric and Nitro concourse winners.

State Battle

This year’s event will also incorporate the 4th annual NSW -vs- QLD challenge and State pride is on the line, so come and support your state!

Friday 30th May 2008 Practice

Track is open for practice from 8am to 5pm (controlled electric / nitro if required)

Saturday 31st May 2008 Qualifying

Practice from 7:30am to 8:00am, Drivers meeting 8:30am including concourse judging. Qualifying commencing at 9:00am.

Sunday 1st june 2008 Finals

Practice from 7:30am to 8:00am, final round of qualifying for all classes starts 9am with an hours break before finals start (Depending on Numbers).

Controlled 540 Tourer

Handout control motors to be supplied and used, max 2 motors per entrant at an extra cost of $15.00 eachfor the controlled motor which is included in the entry fee, motors are yours to keep after the event. Open tires , 6x4200mah cells maximum.

Stock Tourer

Open Tyres. 6x4600mah cells maximum.lipo batteries, refer to attached list.

With the inclusion of the novak 13.5 bonded rotor only brushless motor.

19T Tourer

Open Tyres. 6x4600mah cells maximum,lipo batteries, refer to attached list.

With the inclusion on brushless 10.5 motors.

Modified Tourer

Open Tyres. 6x4600mah cells maximum, lipo batteries, refer to attached list.

Min weight 6 cell 1500g

Min weight 5 cell 1425g

Both to be run together with weight changes only exceptions.

Pullstart Tourer

Any commercially available pull start engine only, maximum size of .15 allowed. Cars must be started with pull start / electric start device under drivers stand prior to start of heats and finals, no other starting aids allowed (ie. No starter boxes).

Motors are to be showed at scrutineering,to be not pre started.

Foam or Rubber tires allowed.

Nitro Open Tourer

Any size .12 motor with or without pull start allowed.

Foam or Rubber tires allowed.

Dinner

Dinner in hall next to the track starting at the completion of Saturdays qualifying rounds. Costs for Dinner is $10 per head, this must be pre-paid with entry fee.Dinner is not compulsory but an effort to allow drivers to socialise and catch up.

Entry Fee’s: $30.00 for one class, $45.00 for two classes. No entry fee concession for 540 if ran as an additional class. Entry fee for 540 class is $45.00 this includes a handout 540 motor, motors must be handed in on completion of practice on Friday and at end qualifying on the Saturday.

Please make any cheques or money orders payable to TRCCC.

Entries close on 27th May, 2008. Race fee’s must accompany entry. Spektrum users please indicate by placing “SS” in the first frequency column.

No further entries or race fees will be accepted after 5pm Friday the 30th May, entries received without payment prior to this time will be ineligible to participate in the event.

Entries must be returned on a copy of the original entry form with ALL appropriate sections completed if you intend on representing your State or Club in either the NSW v QLD challenge.

2008 HARRIS RC Tamworth Cup,NSW vs QLD Challenge

LIPO packs with a maximum 7.4v and with a minimum 20c rating may be approved for use. Only batteries on the approved list may be used.

Drivers must only charge at a maximum 1c at trackside. (1c means if you have a 3200mah battery then you may only charge at a maximum of 3.2 amps, 4800 at 4.8 amps etc). Only LIPO chargers may be used.

Battery should be enclosed in a LIPO sack or at least placed on a ceramic or pottery fireproof tray for charging.

No exposed cells to be used, cells must be shrink wrapped or hard cased. If shrink wrapped then side intrusion protection is recommended.

Drivers using batteries with Corally style plug ins must ensure that the leads from the car and the charger are clearly colour coded.
