Scottish Rugby– Match Day Assistant

Position: / Match Day Assistant
Location: / Various depending on event – BT Murrayfield, Scotstoun Stadium and other venues around Scotland.
Time Commitment: / Event dependant – weekend and evenings
Reports to: / Event Manager / Co-ordinator
Purpose of Role
To work on behalf of Scottish Rugby to assist with the running of a match day at Internationals, Pro-Team fixtures, and other Scottish Rugby fixtures.
This role involves working closely with Scottish Rugby staff to ensure a positive event day experience for spectators, and to contribute to the smooth running of Scottish Rugby events.
Key Accountabilities
  • Represent Scottish Rugby whilst creating a positive experience for spectators
  • Support the Event Manager or Entertainment Producer by carrying out key tasks such as: managing musical acts, flag bearers, ball boys, child and furry mascots
  • Meet and greet the relevant parties, acting as their main point of contact throughout the event, ensuring key timings are adhered to, assisting with rehearsals, and gathering feedback
  • Support the Event Manager or Hospitality Manager with the running of hospitality, carrying out duties such as: meeting and greeting guests, assisting with directing appropriate guests to the Royal Box, helping with trophy and medal presentations
  • Deliver match day briefings to entertainment acts, ball boys etc.
