· Have your assigned paper completed on your due date.
· Papers should illustrate close reading and understanding of the story
· Papers must be word processed, double-spaced, 12 times Roman font
· Papers should be two pages in length.
· MLA format
· No late papers will be accepted.
· All papers must be uploaded to your wiki page.
· All papers must be submitted to turnitin.com by the due date.
· Bring three copies of your paper to class.
Discuss the following in your papers:
- the main theme of the work
- a dominant tone of the work(Explain why.)
- a strong image, scene or passage that provides a good doorway for thoughtful attention to an important aspect of the work (Be specific. Describe in detail.)
- how the passage, image, scene, theme and tone help you to interpret the work
· Avoid summary. Always assume the reader read the story. You must remind the reader of the specific details which support your point.
