Mat will review and provide comments to Keith.

Resolution of comments:

Decided to focus this session on TSEC. It was felt that answering each TSPEC comment in turn would not be productive. Some general rewrites and consideration were required before many comments could be addressed. Srini agreed to prepare a document addressing this need that would then be a reference for bulk addressing many of the TSPEC related comments. Simpiler comments that could easily be resolved would be noted separately in the minutes.

Discussions on TSEC:

Srini will start TSPEC document.

Georg will provide inputs to Srini.

The following notes are relevant to the document being prepared by Srini:

For TX Rate in TSPEC, Station should make initial guess at rate, but HC should specify final min TX rate required to meet bandwidth constraints. Should be renamed min TX Rate.

Add TS Response definition is currently missing from the standard (7.4.1)

Expand frame format for result code in Add TS Response (see 10.3.11.2)

For Delay bound should explain that packet which exceed may be dropped.

MAF should be made a Class 2 frame in section 5.

Because bi-directional TSPECs were eliminated, need to permit multiple TSPEC to exist in single QoS MAF (all categories).

Inactivity Interval determines when TSPEC is deleted, not to take stream on and off polling list. May need alternate mechanism to determine time till streams are taken on and off the polling list.

Delete TAID field. Place TID in TS Info field, and make two octets. When passing TSPEC identifiers over DS, will need TID and STA MAC address. Also delete reserved byte.

Redo 1259 and 1268 next session – Inputs from Srini

Mat – Contact georg on 1266. like to Declined. Does he agree based on Queue State discussions on call.

1262 / Declined. Bi-Direction capability eliminated.
1263 / Declined. The value is needed to determine admission. Need to estimate occupancy of stream on medium. Station, based on RF environment, provides this value as the minumum TX PHY rate it will use
1265 / Accepted. Corrected in 2.0A.
1267 / Declined. Bi-Direction capability eliminated.
1270 / Accepted. Bi-Direction capability eliminated.
1273 / Declined. Higher layer entities will be unaware of the "TU" concept, so the specs that these values are derived from will most likely be in milliseconds.
1275 / Accepted. MAF should be replace with MAC.
1281 / Declined. Bi-Direction capability eliminated.

Mat will review and provide comments to Keith.

Resolution of comments:

726 / VS should be TS. Make editorial
1012 / Declined. The use of TXOP limit =0 merely means that the length of that TXOP in the CFP is the same as the standard length of a TXOP in the CP. No other inference is made, but the text referenced is needed to make the intended point understood.
1013 / Alternate Resolution. The non-final bit has been removed. See comment number 1002.
1016 / Alternate Resolution. The non-final bit has been removed. See comment number 1002.
1039 / Accepted. Note that clause 9.10.3.2 already permits this for a polled TXOP. Given that Bursting is now allowed in the EDCF, the same freedom should be permitted there.
1040 / Declined. The reviews of this comment were unable to locate the discrepancy identified.
1087 / Declined. The referenced text seems clear that the BSS-ID is being defined, not the address of "every QSTA" as stated.
1088 / Accepted. Option 2 provided by the commenter should be adopted into the next draft.
1093 / Alternate resolution. BP's have been removed, but direct QSTA to QSTA messaging is still permitted. Some additional mechanisms have been defined (See 802.11 TGe meeting minutes from 1/02)
1095 / Declined. The reviewers believe the encoding of this field has no bearing on the RTS/CTS process, and vice versa.
1097 / Accepted. The editor is requested to make appropriate changes.
1099 / Accepted.
1100 / Alternate resolution. Error Statistic element will be reserved for future use in an Overlapping BSS solution not part of the current standard.
1101 / Alternate resolution. Error Statistic element will be reserved for future use in an Overlapping BSS solution not part of the current standard.
1102 / Declined. While the reviewers agree with the sentement, if a frame were received with a non-zero delay that requires a zero delay, it should probably be discarded. Therefore checking the delay field is a good idea regardless. But in the end, this may be an implmentation detail that is beyond the scope of the standard.
1104 / Declined. If one allows a multicast request frame, the responses would collide regardless of whether the response were immediate or delayed. Multicast requests requiring responses should not be allowed. Text will be added clarifying that Multicast requests requiring responses are not allowed.
1106 / Accepted.
1110 / Declined. TGe should not define the mechanisms required by other Task Groups. The ability to have multiple (a train?) of response frames is beyond the known needs of TGe. Fragmentation can also be used to address this issue.
1111 / Defered to floor to TGe.
1112 / Declined. The implication of the text is as soon as possible after TBTT. No clarification is believed required.
1113 / Accepted. See resolution to comment number 1106
1114 / Accept. A clarifying statement should be added that the delay be computed from the time of transmission, meaning it will automatically account for any slipage in it's intended transmission time.
1115 / See comment number 1111.
1156 / Declined. If the QAP wishes to talk with pollable Non-QoS STA under the CFP, it may wish to be able to send CF-Polls. It may also want to communicate with QSTA using QoS CF-Polls in the CFP. Therefore the ability to mix them should be permitted, but is unlikely to arise.
1163 / Accepted.
