Dear William Mason Students and Parents,
It’s hard to believe the start of another school year is just around the corner. I hope everyone is enjoying the final weeks of our summer break. Our staff is excited to begin the 2016-2017 school year.
The parent portal informed you of your child’s classroom placement. Please keep in mind specific teacher requests are NOT part of the Montville Township School’s policy. Class list have been completed since early June, and teachers worked extremely hard to place students appropriately.
Once again Montville Township Public Schools will be using the parent portal for the vast majority of correspondence this year between home and school.
· School begins for students on Tuesday, September 6. School hours are from 8:10 am – 2:45 pm. Students arriving after 8:10am are considered tardy.
· If you have any special custodial arrangements which might limit access to or release of your child to a non-custodial parent, please notify the office ASAP.
· Just a reminder ~ the carpool lane should be utilized. You are strongly urged not to park your car and walk your child to the door in the morning. Walking through the car pool line poses a danger for you and your child.
· On the first day of school teachers will meet students according to class at the main entrance of the building.
· In the event of inclement weather we will meet inside the main gym. Please Do NOT escort your children to class as this can create an unsafe environment within the hallways. You can certainly wait outside with students until we enter the building at 8:10am weather permitting.
