RE:ADVISORY MEMO – Notice of Training for Federal and State Regulatory Changes, State Law Changes, and AIPP

The Office of Long Term Care will conduct four (4) one-half day training sessions on the

following subjects:

  1. S&C Changes - New Regulations/Guidance;
  2. CRC and NATP Law Changes, Expunged/Sealed Record, and the On-line Registry Option;
  3. New Abuse Law/New Definition;
  4. Minimum Staffing Changes;
  5. New Quality Improvement Contract with AFMC for the Arkansas Innovative Performance Program (AIPP).

The New Abuse Law/New Definition and the On-line Registry Option affect all facilities.

These training sessions have been approved for four and ¾ (4.75) contact hours for administrators and nurses. Registration is on-site.

The training sessions will be provided in the following locations on the specified dates:

  • September 6, 2005, Albert Pike Memorial Temple, 7th & Scott Street, Little Rock, Arkansas. The auditorium will accommodate 700 participants. No food or drinks are allowed in the auditorium. Registration 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. – Training 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • September 20, 2005, Mid-South Health Systems, 2707 Browns Lane, Jonesboro, Arkansas. The training room will accommodate 75 participants with tables and chairs. Food and drinks are allowed in the training room. Registration 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. – Training 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • September 27, 2005, Southern Arkansas University Tech, Roy E. Ledbetter Tech Engineering Bldg., Room 114, 100 Carr Road, East Camden, Arkansas. The Tech room will accommodate 150 participants in auditorium style seating. No food or drinks are allowed in the auditorium. Registration 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. – Training 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • October 11, 2005, St. Edwards Mercy Medical Center, HennessyCenter,7301 Rogers Avenue, Fort Smith, Arkansas. The HennessyCenter will accommodate 100 participants with tables and chairs. Food and drinks are allowed in the HennessyCenter. Registration 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. – Training 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
