Today’s Scriptures (NIV):

“We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on Himthe iniquity of us all. 7He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth. 8By oppressionand judgment He was taken away. Yet who of His generation protested? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people He was punished…. 10Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush Him and cause Him to suffer, and though the Lord makes His life an offering for sin, He will see His offspring and prolong His days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in His hand.11After He has suffered, He will see the light of life and be satisfied;by His knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and He will bear their iniquities.12Therefore I will give Him a portion among the great, and He will divide the spoils with the strong, because He poured out His life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” Isaiah 53: 6-12

“Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.”29A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips.30When He had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. John 19: 28-30

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of Him everywhere.” II Corinthians 2:14

“When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,14having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; He has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.15And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” Col.2:15
